Rob and I just completed an interview that will appear sometime soon in H+ Magazine about the game, the film option, and how sci-fi and rpgs can be used to talk about wider social or cultural issues. 

The interview will be in an upcoming issue but don't let that stop you from checking out H+ for what's going on in the transhumanist community or just for great plot ideas for your EP campaign.

As I mentioned on twitter, The Eclipse Phase core book was officially uploaded to the printers last night. It's a relief to finally get it off!

The policy at CatLabs is not to announce a street release date until we have absolutely confirmed it, so we can't say at this time what the actual release date will be. We're printing it overseas, which generally takes a couple of months, so please be patient.

The PDF will be available before the book, though I don't have a set date for that yet either. It will be at least a couple of weeks. It's a race to see which we get out first -- the PDF or the freebie Quick Start Rules.

In the meantime, I have a couple of other exciting EP announcements in the works, so stay tuned! Also, we'll be posting more art from the book and eventually an actual PDF preview of the core book. We're also working on the GM Screen and the first couple of sourcebooks, Sunward: the Inner System and Gatecrashing (which deals with exoplanets and the Pandora Gates).

We've received a few requests for updates, so here's an overview of what's going on with Eclipse Phase.

Proofreading for the core book is all finished, but we unfortunately missed our to-print date due to a host of issues arising with artwork. As it currently stands, we're still waiting on some art to be finished for the book, and we expect that to take at least a couple more weeks. There is also some graphic design work that still needs to be finished, but once the artwork is in that will get wrapped up and we'll get it off to the printer. Once I have more concrete news on that front, I'll post it here. We all want to get this book out as soon as we can.

This means that the EP Quick Start Rules are also still on hold, but we should have these out soon after the core Eclipse Phase book goes to print.

We do plan to make the PDF of the core book available for sale soon after it hits the printer.
