More Great EP News | Eclipse Phase

Contrary to the original publishing plan of printing Eclipse Phase sourcebooks as black & white and softcover, Catalyst Game Labs recently confirmed that the first EP sourcebook, Sunward: The Inner System, will be full color and (most likely) hardcover! Other sourcebook will follow suit. This is fantastic news, and it means you'll be seeing more of the great artists who did amazing color pieces for the EP core rulebook in future supplements!

Excellent news. Some games really benefit from full-colour treatment in terms of making the art better convey the setting; I get the distinct feeling EP is such a setting.

That is really good news but

That is really good news but I would really like to be able to buy the corebook sometime soon. I'm sorry to sound like a broken record but hearing about movie options and sourcebooks, and the creators being interviewed by magazines and still not being able to pre-order/buy the book is a little on the annoying side for me. Even seeing a preview of something other than the art would be nice.

Been Following for a While

As the title says, I've been following this game for a while with a considerable amount of interest. If there any news as to a publication date yet? Or if not a publication date how about if there will be an option to get a PDF from RPGNow?

We won't announce the street

We won't announce the street release date it is absolutely certain. Since he book is still at the printers, we can't do that yet. As I've mentioned elsewhere, printing overseas generally takes in the 2-3 month range from going to press to being in stores.

The PDF will be available before GenCon, possibly as soon as next week, though I can't say for certain as Adam has a lot on his plate right now. The PDF will be available through the usual vendors (DriveThru, RPGNow, Battlecorps).

As to previews, we just worked out a schedule for those so you will see some early next week!
