Anti-device rounds
Today's Schlock Mercenary nerded out about how to destroy tech: http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2012-09-16 Given tech in EP, EMP is less important as wrecking optoelectronics - which presumably is best done by a short-range explosion or lots of micro-flechettes. In my unconventional weapons writeup I suggested that HERF beamers might be useful against some equipment: while the electronics doesn't go, there are enough actuators and sensors that it can be disabled. Electron beams might also be good for ruining tech - free electrons are *not* what you want embedded in your optical fibres, they ramp up absorbance a lot (true: glass and diamond turn brown when you subject them to enough). And likely particle beams can do this too, although they were designed for different targets. What are the other good tools for wrecking different kinds of technology - mesh, morphs, TITAN drones? And what are their interesting limitations and complications?

Solvent vs structural integrity.
I envision various kinds Anti device weapons that have weaponised: chemical reagents, Solvents, adhesives; for the purpose of overkilling targeted devices. Crude non weaponised examples from our modern tech is using mercury vs aluminium. Or pouring glue on a exposed computer circuitry. Or pouring milk on mocca leather. To erase various forms of paint I know gasoline is a excelent solvent.

Ah, that reminds me of the old bucket of glue anti-swarmanoid trick!

I remember reading something
I remember reading something about a lightening gun. I can't quite remember how it works but it sounded like it was more hell on tech than on meat.

Spraygun of glue could still be the soldiers prefered weapon of choice against swarmanoids. But militech versions should exist not just the improvised weapons. Something with Quicklime perhaps?

Glue the sods!
I was once asked what was the cost of a fine atomiser sprayer full of shellac polish? The PCs wanted to use it against all sorts of stuff.

Militech Glue Weapons and their defenses

The weapon your looking for is the freezer (EP, pg. 341). Alternately, the sprayer (also on pg. 341) or the splash grenade/seeker (still pg. 341) would work. However, in defense swarmanoids could just get a non-stick Teflon coating. Or a Lotus Coating might work depending on the composition of the glue.

I suspect it is not going to be easy to protect the ion drives of the the swarm units even with a coating. Hmm, ion drives. That suggests that something that messes up the air intake and its electrical properties might work pretty well. I wonder what happens to an ion drive that sucks up some graphite or superconductor dust? ;-)

resonance weapon
I can also imagine weaponry that can at distance induce resonance disaster/ mechanically stress phenomenas "enough" to destroy needed circuitry in devices.

Then it is a good thing that swarmanoids use rotors (and legs) instead of ion drives, huh :).

Same problem there. Imagine the effect of fine monofiliament fibers getting tangled up in the rotors. And legs require knees, and that means the wrong substance can be bad for them. There is nothing in the world that is impossible to jam. Sometimes you need to work on it, but sometimes throwing the nearest bottle works.

One thing I've been toying
One thing I've been toying with is having particle bolters being given more anti-device / anti-synth effects. Right now it's sort of the red-headed stepchild of the beam weapon family. Thoughts?

I'd be interested in that as
I'd be interested in that as well. Right now most weapons and threats are aimed at the biomorphs. Synthmorphs need some lovin' as well.
