So for a future arc of my campaign, I'm thinking I'm going to send my players to the space Olympics!
My thinking is this: it's 10 years after the Fall, and the PC wants to show that it's in control and that humanity can move forward while still honoring the traditions of the past. So it decides to restart the Olympic Games. Except instead of athletes from each nation competing, it's athletes from each habitat/station.
My question to the forum is this: where do you think the PC would decide to hold these games? I'm assuming that, since it would want to make a spectacle out of this, the PC would probably build a domed shelter somewhere to host the events. I'm torn between having it take place on Mars (because of the Red Eden project and trying to make Mars the new home of transhumanity) or on Luna (in sight of Earth and in memory of all who were lost, etc.)
Mars seems more logical, but Luna more emotional. What do you guys think?
