This is probably the best working .xls character sheet I've ever used for any game. Thank you very much. question: on the gear page what do the selections in the "verbose" column do?
When you select the verbose column on the gear sheet it gives an expanded description of that gear on the 4 page character sheet.

Couple of points; the cyber claws weapon should probably be linked to the Blades skill.
It looks like your right. I'll change that for the next version.

Is there any way to make a weapon specialization add into the skill in the weapon area of the character sheet? If I have a character with a cyber claws specializaion in unarmed it would be cool if the extra 10 points from the specialization were added in. For some reason I could only choose knowledge skills for my Muse that I had allready chosen for my character. My understanding is that a muse can have any knowledge skill. Also It would be nice if software and skill softs I own could show up in the Muse box on the character sheet. I like to buy skillsofts for my muse.
Those are all features that I have on my list to be added right now. However I don't know when I will be getting to them. It could be this update or the next.

Ah. Cool! I see that some of the descriptions aren't comming up. I'm capable of Data entry. if you tell me where to enter the descriptions I could do that and send you a modified copy of v.85 back. Dito for backgrounds Factions and Morphs

I'm glad people are getting use out of the program. and since CodeBreaker has been updating his custom morphs, I am including in the next version of the sheet options for fully custom morphs.
That is great! But in the meantime is there any way to insert a custom morph into the data (as in a selectable model -- I know I can just fill out all the info by hand for a particular sheet)? I have to admit that my experience with spreadsheets is minimal, and it might be better for me to wait until you make it easy....

Also, space for additional Addictions would be nice. Cut/paste is easy enough on the Ego sheet, but on the Morph sheet, it's a bit more difficult because of how it's laid out.

I actually have that done for the next sheet. 0.86 will have a nice and user friendly area where up to 3 custom morphs can be added. I chose 3 because thats the number of morphs that the sheet currently set up to accept.

I can do that for the next sheet update as well.

Well since you offered, and I'm sure others are able to help, here is the link to a data sheet to fill out gear descriptions. The gear will appear as seen below. To fill in data just click on the input information cell, and type away. When finished try and have the text fit into the space before the --end-- label. If your description doesn't fit leave it and I can edit it down as needed. http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss64/kindalas/EP%20Stuff/EPinstructio... If anyone does decide to help out, please post which sections your working on, so people don't end up doubling up and wasting time. Also I'm going to give this project until the 28th because after that I'm pretty sure I'll be ready to post the 0.86 sheet which I'm hoping will be as beneficial to GMs as the 0.85 sheet was to players.

In case someone else does want to work on this. I should be able to complete all the entries through Nanotechnology on the list today. To avoid duplication any one else should pic something from nanoswarms on down. :) Also I'm includeing page references so my entries will look something like this Fiberoptic Cable "(EP p. 313) Used to establish wired connections between devices. Signal may not be intercepted. Used for privacy or in areas of radio interference." Thought it might be cool have the page # on the character sheet. If there's a more consice way to do it let me know. Also; what is the standard abreviation for Sunward? is is Sun or SW ?

Page references are a good idea, and I'd use SW for sunward, that way the spacing will remain consistent.

Some of the vehicle entries are kinda worthless it was difficult to parse out anything meaningfull that would fit and I couldnt make the stat blocks fit but at least those pesky verbose selectors will do something. The latest sheet version 0.86 is available. Download it directly here Available HERE Here is a list of changes that I've made for this version. • Changed the name of Cold Temperature Tolerance to Temperature Cold Tolerance was necessary because of how lookup formulas work. • Changed the Ruster to "Premium Ruster" • Added in Regular Ruster to reflect Rusters with Planned Obsolescence trait. • Fixed Skillsoft calculation for secondary and tertiary morphs. • Fixed errors with secondary and tertiary morph positive and negative traits • Wrist mounted tools, provides bio-Claws equivalent • Vacuum sealing now requires Bioweave or carapace armor. • Grip pads now give a +30 bonus to climbing. • Deadswitch, Emergency Farcaster, Mnemonic Augmentation and Multitasking now require a cortical stack implant to be used. • free gear from other implants, now Basic Mesh inserts comes with Facial recognition software and cyber brain comes with Access Jacks, Puppet Sock and Mnemonic Augmentation for free • special damage types, and divider damage types • Fix 2 page sheet weapons selector using the isnumber, change to if greater then 0 • Added common aptitude tests to 4 page sheet • Custom morph done • Finished skill selector for AI/Muses • Hand Laser comes with Smartlink as an option. • Q-Morph durability of 120 is achieved after implants are installed as is the -5 to COO • Moved background and faction skill bonus selectors to the Skills sheet, made custom networking options an option on the variables sheet • Check mental speed bonus from gear I believe one is missing • Include space for multiple addictions on ego, morph • -5 to an aptitude variable is now part of the morph values rather then specific to the Case only • Fixed Skill sheet selector for skill display on printable sheet, it now correctly shows "all skills, all useable or all trained" • Changed aptitude bonus selector so that a -5 penalty could not counter a bonus • Allows for up to five different purchases of addiction ego trait • Fixed extra mental actions for mental speed, multitasking and multiple personalities • Addiction morph traits • Modify Morph sheet for better morph data lookup • Modify ego sheet for better faction and background lookup • Modify Morphs buyable formulas to restrict morph purchases based on background and faction. • Cyber Claws use blade skill, while bio-claws use unarmed skill. • Finish Data Sheet • Add in Morph weaponry • Finish variable skill selector for custom morphs • Custom Faction and Background • Make selectable options for backgrounds and faction on variables sheet • Make a variable table so that faction and background will limit the primary morph selection for characters. • Resolve REZ issue and implement it so that character generation limits are removed. Enjoy.

Character generation looked complicated (or perhaps just time consuming). This spreadsheet made it easy. Reading about the changes and work that went into this, well it really it is complicated but much of the work is already done. Thanks. I've found a few issues with Psi: Adding Multitasking Cyberware boosts mental Speed. Adding it using Psi doesn't. Predictive Boost doesn't increase either Init or Fray. A couple of Psi Sleights work even with a synthmorph. Ambience Sense boosts Investigation, Perception, and Scrounging. Superior Kinesics boosts Kinesics. These should work with a biomorph but not a synthmorph, and I'm not sure about pods.

Thats because I haven't done much with Psi since the sheet was completely permissive to rules bending, but PSi is next on my list for a massive upgrade.

Check mental speed bonus from gear I believe one is missing
I'm not sure if this was a request but I had a look. Multiple Personalities gives a bonus of 1 mental action, Multi Tasking and Mental Speed each give a bonus of 2. This matches what is described in the book and I didn't find anything which had been left out. The combination of Multi Tasking and Mental Speed gave a bonus of 2, which is also correct as these can't be used simultaneously. Pairing either one of those with Multiple Personalities gave a bonus of 3, which I think is wrong as the other two explicitly list each other as being incompatible but also say they don't work with any other augmentation giving extra actions. Combining all three also gives a bonus of 3. These will also combine with augmentations which boost physical actions (Neurachem, Reflex Booster). The descriptions of Multi Tasking and Mental Speed both say they can't be combined with any other augmentation which provides extra actions; I was surprised (and a bit disappointed) when I reread these descriptions, having thought this incompatibility was only with other mental augmentations.

In the descriptions for Multi-Tasking, Multipule Personalities and Mental speed only two have restrictions. The first restriction under Multi-Tasking reads "This implant cannot be used simultaneously with any other augmentation that allows for extra actions, or with the mental speed augmentation" And the second restriction under Mental speed reads "This nanoware is incompatible with any other augmentation that provides any form of extra actions, such as multi-tasking." These two lead me to believe. That Multi-Tasking is compatable with Multipule Personalities, but not Nurachem or Reflex Boosters. That Multiple Personalities is compatable with anything. (As it is really a facy ghost rider module that can toggle between primary and secondary riders) And that Mental Speed isn't compatable with anything. However I personally in the games I run, allow all three to be installed in a morph, even with Nurachem, and I just make players choose what they are using. But from what I've just read and re-read, I'm going to change things so that Multi-tasking or mental speed grants a speed of two, and Multiple Personalities gives one, and Multitasking when combined with Multiple Personalities grants a speed of 3.

Currently I've been looking at the Character Sheet pages of the two and four page sheet and I've realized that the current columns of "Skill Name, Total, Aptitude, Base, Morph, Gear, Misc and Skill Soft) are mostly pointless during game play. I am thinking of only having the Skill Name, it's value, and the attached Aptitude for the sheet. Thoughts?

I have another project for the EP sheet. If you download the sheet [url=https://sites.google.com/site/eclipsephases/home/cabinet/EclipsePhasePSI... I need descriptions of all of the PSI slights on p 223 to 229 of the core book. Like with gear I've included a length limiter so that it will all fit on the printable sheet but if your tying goes over. Don't worry at all as I have included some leeway. Thanks I've actually taken care of this myself. I greatly underestimated how long it would take me to redesign psi on the sheet.

Re: character sheet by JMobius
Here is the 0.87 version of the character sheet. It is available HERE. The biggest change is I have now combined the 2 and 4 page character sheets into one 3 page sheet. Just remember to not change any of the margins otherwise the printing may mess up. And if your looking for where to enter the PSI data, you need to buy PSI level 1 or 2 before the purchase options become available. I only have a few more features I'm considering to add before I consider this sheet as done. Yet done doesn't mean I won't be updating the sheet for new products as they are released. Enjoy! • Format Data Sheet • Skillsofts for muses • Variable skill selector for skillsofts, but you'll still need to select the right field on the skills sheet. It is more useful for muses. • Build ego lookup tables for ego traits like I have done on Morph sheet • Synthmorphs don't need Medichines to purchase Coronal Adaptation. • Made it so that the Verbose Selector automatically combines the values for gear and implants and generates a single variable list with a note taking section and it removes the empty headings. • Fixed the costing of smart magazine on gear sheet • Fixed the cost of synthetic mask. Is now moderate. • Ego traits now show up on printable sheets properly • Muse Knowledge skills unique field. • Added 12 extra field skills, 2 under each of Academics, Art, Interest, Language, Profession and hardware • Fixed dropdown selector or original space colonists and scum born • Fix interactions between gear that gives mental bonuses. • Finish 4 page character sheet • Completely Redesigned PSI • add Resist Intimidation and Resist Persuasion to the Common Aptitude tests (WIL + WIL + SAV), and give Resist Intimidation -10 when the character has the Timid flaw • Remove all of the extra values from the skills list and only show the effective skill. • Change Cyber Claws back to unarmed as they're listed as such on the chart on p335 in the core book • Totally reformatted the printable sheets. Now there is only one sheet, it is 3 pages and way cool.

This one RAWKS. Thanks for all the work. Couple of things I'd request but they're not a big deal. 1. A place for animals or bots to be listed on the character sheet like the muse. 2. I'd like to give negative skill bonuses to custom morphs. 3. I'd like to be able to note individual aptitude maximums for morphs the way that Neotonics have a lower max for SOM. (I suspect that's not an option given the construction of the Values sheet but it would be nice.) Also, sorry for misleading you about the cyberclaws thing. Mybad. Hey! you gave me a shout out. Cool! Right now my facelooks exactly like this => :D

Never apologize for asking for requests. They let me know where to ficus my time. 1. Animal and bots are on my to do list, but I won't attempt it until after gatecrashing comes out in case it has new animals/bots that really change how I'd present the data. 2. Done for 0.88 3. I've been thinking of adding a size variable to the morph data to include somatics maximum modifiers. And finally just messaging to everyone that I have been hard at work on the 0.88 sheet. Don't worry updates are coming. I plan on releasing 0.88 with a new guns and ammo interface, one that will let a gun have more then one type of ammo on the printable sheet. For the 0.89 Sheet I'm aiming to release as quickly as possible after Gate Crashing is released. And the 0.90 sheet should come out quickly after 0.89 as I'm certain I'll make mistakes with the new morphs/gear/stuff that Gatecrashing gives us. And I have an idea for a Book specific tag so that Game Masters can set which books gear/morphs/implants ect. are available.

Yay! That was fast - I assume you worked at simspace speed? This is the single most impressively useful fan project I have ever encountered. Seriously. A small suggestion for future updates: it would be helpful if there was a small indicator somewhere of the module origin of a morph, trait or equipment. Right now we have the core book, Sunward and Gatecrashing, but there are going to be more around and it is often helpful to`be able to look things up.

It is funny that you mention that, I've been working on a way to turn gear on and off on the variables sheet. So that GMs who don't have or don't want can just disable settings when they setup the sheet. I've also been considering making the robots into morphs. As in the core book there is a line that says by adding a cyber brain to a robot you get a morph. But I am still working on the logistics of it.

I have two players who say that teh charactergen was too confusing and complicated and they would have given up on the game, until I gave them a copy of this sheet. If i knew how this new fangled rep thing worked, i'd give you some, so consider the appropriate rep awarded! Is there an easy way to import from earlier versions of the sheet to newer versions? G.

Awesome sheet, a couple of things I noticed though. It doesn't seem to be adding Negative trait values to your CP total, and when you have a stat bonus from Background or Faction to a Field skill (say you took Hardware +10 for your ), and you select a Field when buying the skill, it removes the Faction/Background bonus from the affected skill. I got this last error when doing a character with the Scum Faction.

The problem here is that the bonuses are given out using a word recognition command. And when you select a field for a field skill, the matching command no longer gets a match. To make it work, what needs to happen is that the Field skill must be selected before the bonuses are chosen. This way you get say Hardware:Robots and then the bonus dropdown will list Hardware: Robots as a selectable option.

Derp. Some day I will learn not to be an idiot. Thanks!

This is a fantastic piece of work, thank you so much from my players and me! Do you think you could add some text boxes to help newbies out, perhaps to demonstrate workflow? I managed to mostly figure it out I think thanks to the checklist, but there were some areas that weren't absolutely clear to me, for example, the Skills sheet, Background and Faction Bonus Skills section - those seem to auto-populate in the skills, but it doesn't call them out in this section and I don't think it's meant to? Again, this is a great piece of work and I really appreciate the time you've put into it.

I learned a new trick today. Dynamic Named Ranges. What this means is that before I had dropdown menus with blank spaces. Not any more. Also Dynamic Print Ranges. Have one morph, get a short sheet, have 3 morphs get a sheet with more pages. I'm excited for this. Very excited. Also strongly considering the possibility that the next release may be 1.00, as some of the functions are clunky and need redesigning. I may restart from scratch or I may adapt. As such quick questions. 1. Right now there are upto 3 morphs selectable. Should there be more? 2. Does anyone use the secondary and tertiary functions for rep identities? 3. Assuming that I am redesigning from scratch and not rewriting 3 blocks of code what features are desperately needed? 4. If it is possible would you use/want a fork filter that automatically adjusts stats based on morph and fork type. 5. What can I do better?

One feature that I either have failed to find, or should exist, is the ability to add new custom traits to the character - for example, if my gaming group uses the Trait "Militarized Subconscious" worth 10 CP it should be possible to add.

Well with the way I'm thinking of changing the traits custom ones should be no problem, the only real problem occurs when you want a custom trait to do something rules changing (like what most traits do) because I'd either have to figure out a large (massive) combination of modifiers that you can pick and choose from, or it would be upto the group to enforce the custom trait rules.

I'm happy to go with the group enforcement approach - your sheet cannot do *everything* (but it nearly does!)

I just figured out multiple languages. I'm excited for this idea. Once I finish setting up the format for it, I'll have some details for it. But if I do this right translating will be straight forwards and easy for every language. Well every language supported by Excel.

Re: character sheet by JMobius
Hey Kindalas! I'm a wee bit impared in the use of Excel, and was hoping that you (or someone else) might be able to help me out. Is there a way to modify the base stats of morphs? I've noticed that the Kite morph on the sheet has a 20 aptitude maximum; according to Gatecrashing, it actually has a 25 maximum, and I was hoping that I might be able to adjust that without pestering you for a new version of the sheet. It seems to be pointing me toward a sheet labelled "Values." Is that one hidden from the general public? Thanks for all the work you've done on this! It's a hell of a step up from doing the math by hand!

1. I've not used more than 2 at once, mostly because my players have their "main" morph, and amything else will be a temporary one. 2. Yes, extensivly. My players each have at least 2 egos with differing rep scores. 3. The ability to easily export to newer versions! 4. Good idea. If you didn't want to display multiple sections on the print sheet, maybe a dropdown box to choose the displayed ego/morph/fork? 5. Honestly, this is possibly the best accessory for any game I play at the moment. Even with half the functionality it has the sheet would be a damm fine piece of work! G.

Re: character sheet by JMobius
Here is the 0.89 version of the character sheet. It is available HERE. This sheet has many small bug fixes. It may also be the last version of this EP sheet that I release. DON'T PANIC! I have been working for the last few months on a new sheet. Yes, a new sheet from scratch. There are many reasons for this. My main reason is that this sheet the way it is designed takes a number of sources of data and combines them into a usable output based on the purchase of things (morphs gear weapons etc) and the selection of variables (morph selector and identity elector) the problem was that it would be incredibly complex to change it to allow for say a print sheet with all of a character's data on it. Say a character with multiple morphs some with alpha forks, some beta some delta. My 1st goal is to have one Ego, with up to say 5 (or more) morphs, 5 different identities, and the option of different levels of forks in each morph all printable as part of a single dynamic output. That way a GM can prep his players excel files, before a game, do the full print. hand over the pertinent pages to his players, and if they say ego cast or swap bodies, the GM can then hand over the rest of the pages. My 2nd goal is to have language options. It will be a mighty huge pain to setup, but by using an offset command for pretty much every single written word. Language will be a simple drop down selector on the main page. My 3rd goal is to be open office compliant. I don't know if I can make it work with the above two goals, but if it is possible I'll do it. I'll also be starting a new thread, here to document the development of the sheet, and to give a place for people to make input into features that they will use. That thread will be HERE! Enjoy! William Wilson List of changes
Fixed flat sheet Pneumatic limbs give a extra 1d10 to melee attacks Kite morph aptitude max is 25 Made Print Field Dynamic, now Character sheet is 3 or 4 pages depending on how many gear/implant/psi description slots are filled
I will, and the translating part will probally happen last. But I should have a post up on the new thread over the next couple of days describing how it will all work out.

Re: character sheet by JMobius
I know I said that the 0.89 sheet might be the last one I updated, however Errata is out for the core book, which means that I've had to step back and update a new version of this sheet. The 0.90 version of the character sheet is available HERE. However, the 3rd printing release will be on May the 4th if all goes according to plan. Which means that there will be a 0.91 sheet once the final final Errata has been locked into a 3rd Printing.

This character sheet is really impressive. The only problem I had was that the Morph traits Weak Immune System and Zero-G Nausea don't show up on the printable sheet.
