This character sheet is really impressive. The only problem I had was that the Morph traits Weak Immune System and Zero-G Nausea don't show up on the printable sheet.
I have a quick fix, in the morph trait box on the printable sheet. Replace the formula with the following one. =CHOOSE(Values!A27,Morph!W70,Morph!W128,Morph!W186) That should fix it right up. I'll also have it fixed on the 0.91 sheet that I'm going to release just after the 4th of May when the 3rd printing PDF should be available.

The 0.91 version of the character sheet is available HERE. The only change it required from my reading of well everything is that between 3rd printing pre-release and 3rd printing the Plasma Rifle is now a SA weapon instead of a SS weapon. I hope to get the next sheet that I have in alpha released before Panopticon otherwise there will be a 0.92 sheet. Also if I've missed or omitted anything I'll have another sheet released.

Variables - Custom Morphs doesn't have field for any of the Gatecrashing traits, flaws or bioware, making it impossible to make exoplanet-adapted morphs or alien pods using GC's rules. Variables - Custom Backgrounds doesn't have conditional formatting for any of the Gatecrashing morphs, so it looks like you can't select whether a custom background can or cannot use GC-morphs by default. Variables - Custom Factions doesn't have have the header or morph names for GC, so there's no way to tell if its possible to prohibit GC-morphs for custom factions.

That would be a symptom of not having enough time in the day. So I won't say I'll get to it, and I won't say that I won't get to it either. But my priorities go: 1) new rules, and errors 2) new sheet 3) extra features Now if I had the 20 hours a week I want to put towards this project then it would take a week, but sine lately I have 5 hours a week I've been doing triage.

Not all of the backgrounds allow all of the morphs. Try selecting the Lost and Jovian background/faction combination. A special note appears giving advice.

Re: character sheet by JMobius
Howdy, I've been using these character sheets for a long time now and they're wonderful, even despite the problems that come from using OpenOffice instead of MS Office (minor formatting issues which can be ignored during printing). I've made a modification to help me keep track of my favors on the 3 reputation networks that my character has. This specific character has high @-rep, G-rep, and recently acquired some small amount of R-rep. Here's the modification I made: (Edit: The word FAVORS should be centered in that field, instead of left-justified. The font I used is Anonymous Pro, because it looks really good at size 8.) You can see that it lets me put a check mark to show which favors have been used. I'm still trying to find a good way to incorporate the information from the core book describing the exact cooldown periods. I think it might fit in small text elsewhere on the sheet. Any ideas? Here is the information from the core book that needs to be incorporated, specifically the timeframes and cooldown periods (p 289): p.290 also has quite a bit of information on favors that would be great to have on the character sheet, but I think it would be too much to include.

Well unless someone wants to give me an ipad I'm not going to be able to convert the sheet to an ipad compatible version. And for the record do not take this as a request for an ipad. I already have a mouse pad for my desktop and thats good enough.

Kindalas, Sounds like you're aiming to do your "upgrade" before Panopticon, but in case a 0.92 is in the works, I think I spotted another bug... It looks like the DV Modifier and the AP Modifier have been reversed for Flayer ammo. An assault rifle normally has a 2d10+6 damage rating and an AP value of -6; putting regular Flayer ammo in it (AP --, DV +2) keeps the damage at 2d10+6 (no change) and lowers the AP from -6 to -4 (a +2 shift). As always, the newest version of the sheet is great; thanks again for doing all this work!

First, I want to thank you for all the work you've done on these sheets. My entire group uses them and it makes my life as a GM much easier. But we've been running into an error. Basically none of the multi-sheet formulas calculate anything. Everywhere there is supposed to be a final skill number on the printable page for instance, it gets an error. We were able to trace this back by looking at the formula for character background description on the Ego sheet. In it's Formula bar is had a reference I didn't understand, not being that familiar with Excel, but it was to a previous name of the sheet in a previous location. So it appears that you're using absolute paths instead of relative ones within the sheet, because it's going to look for information in files that don't exist on other machines. Our solution was this. We used Find/Replace, searching Formulas in the entire Workbook. We searched for the old name that we found in the Description Formula and replaced it with nothing. After doing Replace All the sheet was able to calculate values properly. It appears to not break anything else, but we can't be sure. We're both running Win7, I'm using Excel 2010 and he's using OpenOffice Calc. Thanks very much for all your work!

I need Cell numbers, because when I look at the sheet I see nothing wrong. So what I need is: say on ego sheet cell B17 the formula refers to something that isn't there. Also a screen shot of what your final errors look like. Because I opened the sheet in, excel 2007, open office, and 2010 and I couldn't find a problem with my copy. Basically I need more info. Will

Re: character sheet by JMobius
Sorry for the delay, I had to get back to the machine I had the character files on. The errors goes like this: For the cell B13, the background text box, the formula bar reads "="Description: "&OFFSET('C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2).xlsx]Data'!F555,'C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2).xlsx]Values'!A245,0)" Where Guo Xu (2).xlsx is an old version of the character sheet name, the file is currently named Guo Xu Redux.xlsx. It's similar for the Faction Text Box, B21, who's formula is "="Description: "&OFFSET('C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2).xlsx]Data'!F533,'C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2).xlsx]Values'!A267,0)" Cell H15, Wound Threshold reads "=ROUNDUP(H16/5,0)", where H16, Durablity, is "=ROUNDUP(((OFFSET('C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2).xlsx]Values'!Q1,CHOOSE('C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2).xlsx]Values'!A27,'C:\Users\steve\Desktop\[Guo Xu (2)" Most of the other autofill sections on the Ego and other sheets are like that, I don't really want to copy them all down. Here are some of the derived stats on the final sheet. All of the skill cells E25-61 and K25-50 have an error and report an formula of the form "=IF(ISNA(Skills!$AJ87),"",OFFSET(Skills!$H$24,Skills!$AJ87,0)&IF(OFFSET(Skills!$G$24,Skills!$AJ87,0)<>""," ("&MIN(OFFSET(Skills!$H$24,Skills!$AJ87,0)+10,98)&")",""))", so I'd guess they're trying to pull some data from somewhere else that is corrupt. The Moxies, WT, DUR, and DR stats are all errored, as are the skills listed for melee and ranged weapons. Now I know you wanted screenshots and possibly even the file, but I didn't see a place to attach them to this post. Does anyone else know how to do that?

Ok I've figured out what happened. When the character sheet was updated someone copied a whole chunk of data from one sheet to another. Actually from the old sheet to the new one. Because when you copy a formula in excel from one file to another it maintains the link to the original file. So the new sheet is trying to retrieve data from the old sheet. The worst part is that everything will look ok, at first but as soon as the files are moved around on the hard drive the connections break and errors appear. The only way to fix it is to download a fresh sheet, the link is in my sig, and then manually copy in the character data. and the save the file as the character name. That way you'll keep the unmodified file on the drive. and have a seperate file for the new character. I hope that helped. Will

The third printing made all guns come with the smart link by default. So instead of having to pay an extra 1000 credits for them, you just get them automatically.

First, thanks for this amazing sheet. It makes character generation a breeze. I have found some issues with the Reaper Morph. 1: The morph page lists the Reaper has having Heavy Combat Armor, but it doesn't. It just has 16/16 Armor naturally, per the errata. Nothing stops me from buying H. Combat Armor and applying it, though. 2: Normally the sheet accounts for the Reflex Booster. In this case the booster still registers on the gear sheet but doesn't factor into skill calculations or Aptitudes. The Reaper has a +10 Reflex and a Reflex Booster. 3: The list of the Morph's implants on the Morph sheet doesn't list Mnemonic Augmentation, but it does show up on the gear sheet. 4: The Articulated Weapon Mounts are only listed once, as are the Extra Limbs. I'm not sure that matters much. Thanks again for the sheet!

1) that was something I missed in the previous errata update, it's fixed now. 2) On the gear sheet, even though the item is listed as being part of the morph, you still need to give it a number for it to be counted. (ie, if it is yellow, place a 1 into the quantity category) 3) mnemonic augmentation was errated in before the 3rd printing, since the synthmorph has a cyber brain it has mnemonic aug 4) like in number 3 you'll have to assign the correct numbers of those items on the gear page (4 of each) I'm adding the info from pantopticon right now so update will be arriving soon. Will

Wow, great character sheet! I was using Tony Lee's sheet, which was good, but that one doesn't have support for the Sunward and the other new books, and doesn't even allow you to create custom morhps and stuff ( >< ) so just porting all my stuff to your character sheets. Looks good, just have to get used to the changes is all.

Also, in the .91 sheet, I'm getting charged double in custom items for some reason, and it's not counting the cost of the custom implants at all. I mean, it displays properly in the little box that says how much you spent on that item in particular, but it's not being entered into the box on the top of the sheet properly.

Infolife gives a bonus to interfacing and a discount to a number of computer skills and a multiplyier to social skills. When I looked into it it worked for me.

Extropians get a specific bonus to 3 skills. Because of this they don't use and of the dropdowns for skill selection.

I totally figured that one out and now it is all fixed. Onto the good news, as I staed above the new sheet is ready. Finally. So go HERE! and download it. It is the 0.92 sheet. I have a couple of bug fixes. All of the new morphs, gear, implants, traits and etc. found in Pantopticon. With two exceptions, the smart pet specific implants I didn't include, and Implant Masking I sort of skipped it. I also didn't restrict the new morphs by faction like I should have, because I am contemplating revising how I do that calculation. As even though it is a perfectly legitimate addition to EP, and it serves the setting it does not make for easy excel fu. And because I didn't want to wait for a second week to get this sheet out this is it for now. I hope you all enjoy the extra uplifts. So, I've been taking another look at the current state of the sheet, as I expect to be running another EP game soon... it really is outstanding, kindalas. The improvements you've made really make a world of difference. :) A few thoughts: * I think it might be worth considering moving the "CP Ranks" column on the Skill page over to the left. It feels a bit isolated from the rest of the input columns, especially for such an important one! (Yes, I'll fully admit this was my mistake originally :) * I think that the Morph descriptions could use a book/page reference like the gear has. * I got a gear description mouseover to appear once, momentarily, in Excel, but haven't been able to reproduce it in either Excel or OO... is there a trick to it? Will continue to play with it. :)

I'm making those changes right now to the 0.93 sheet, I also have a bunch of Sunward onward gear to add to the descriptions.

You need to go into data validation like when you make a drop down. Then click on the input message tab and type in your data. I don't really like it because it doesn't seem to like dynamic values and if it did I'd probably find a way to make every gear name into a click for description. I've also been working on a new generation for the sheet, the Alpha sheet in my downloads directory or as described in this thread here. My main reason is make it so that a single excel file can keep track of up to a dozen different morph, gear, fork combos for a single ego.

I got some questions. I want to use the EP system to play in a different setting, but want to add the options from the new setting on top of the EP data. I encountered some problems with that. How can i add new armor to the Dropdown menu? It links to the VAL_ARMOR, but i can't find where this points to. I added the Armor already in the Data Table. Is there an easy way to add new morph traits to the sheet? (For example: Making Fast Learner a Morph trait or adding a trait that adds to the Speed Stat) Is it possible right now make SPD+1 with the morph? (This i can workaround by just adding Neurachem to the morph, so its a secondary issue)

For the armor you'd have to first add new lines to the armor list in the values sheet, A202 to be specific. Then you'd have to go into the Name manager under the formulas ribbon and modify the val_armors to include the new cells. Currently it is Values!A175:Values!A201 There is no easy way to add new morph traits to the sheet it takes me a couple of hours to add the 4-5 traits that come with the new EP books. And there is no easy way to add speed to morphs. I think for the infomoph I simply make it look for morph type infomorph and add 2. That being said, the new version of the generator I'm working on I'm building to be much more designer friendly. It is just not even close to ready yet. Will

One other observation... the "implant/gear/sleight" summary page on the printable sheet is brilliant, but one thing that is conspicuously absent from it are traits. Given many of them have mechanical implications, a similar reference shortcut on that list would be wonderful.

I've been working on that feature off and on. It should be ready for the next update.

One more question: The next release sounds like it has some good stuff in it. Do you have an ETA? I'm starting a new game soon, and I'm contemplating whether it is worthwhile to have people hold off on character creation until the new version is out, or to use the current one.

I'd say just go with the current sheet. By the time I have the next one ready it should be time for revised characters.

Just a quick note to say how very grateful I am to Kindalas for all the hard work. This sheet has been, no joke, the single biggest factor in convincing my friends to play EP. Without it, character creation is so daunting that we never would have played anything past the pre-generated starter campaign. Thanks!

Re: character sheet by JMobius
How come when I create a custom morph with the builder in version .92, it does not add to the morph tab. What I am doing wrong?

Re: character sheet by JMobius
Once you've made the morph, and inputted the data, you need to scroll up the values sheet to the purchasable morph section. At the bottom is a selector for your new morph. Change the green value to "yes"

Ok my DM found a bug in .92 sheet for the custom builds that it does not show custom morphs' implants on the printable sheet and he also not all the custom Morphs' skill bonuses show up either.

Can you email me a copy of the exact sheet you're using? kindalas@hotmail.com that way I know exactly what to error check.
