Variant Setting Project: The Order of Souls, EP Fantasy
I still have alot of work to do and you won't see any real stats yet, but I was asked for a fantasy setting recently and I decided to use the EP rules for it. My work in progress can be found here: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/the-order-of-souls Backgrounds and Factions exist as flavor text and their are tons of notes I converted over from earlier work, it also makes use of some of the things I've been doing for Stars Edge. Since I have some time off I'll be working on both for the next few weeks. Feel free to leave comments here or there.

I'd go a bit more lightly with the stuff you've blatantly ripped off of Exalted. ;)

While I won't say their aren't some ideas that may be inspired from from Exalted, Realistically some of that is the fact that (much like Final Fantasy as well) It's a blend of eastern and western mythology. The names may be the same or similar and even part of the concept of the 'hierarchy of Souls' for Lunari and Solari, linked with the Solar God Solarus and the Lunar Goddess Luna. And that's about the end of the Exalted 'influence'. Beyond that the only thing you could even try to suggest is 'Exalted' is spirits belonging to the celestial order that roam the lands, and Asian mythology predates Exalted on that by some 4000 years... Nothing else made it into the actually setting as my later work shows. Anyways, I've been adding to it steadily... Magic (done via the PSI sleights mechanic) and skills are probably my next things, though I do still need to work on morphs (I listed them and that's been about it)...

Yes, because the Martial Arts styles you listed weren't basically a cut-and-paste, with a few of the names changed a bit. I think there might have been something else, but the Martial Arts was what caught my attention; looks like you removed them now, though.

They were part of my original notes, mostly for naming reasons... Most of my original notes have needed updating... Martial Arts haven't been touched yet since I haven't figured out a good method of handling Martial arts in EP...

Re: Variant Setting Project: The Order of Souls, EP Fantasy
Things have actually moved quickly and now The Order of Souls includes: Characters Creation Information (Backgrounds, Factions, Morphs, Skills) http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/the-order-of-souls/wikis/characte... Vehicles (In Particular Ships) http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/the-order-of-souls/wikis/vehicles Equipment (Weapons and Armor mostly for now) http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/the-order-of-souls/wikis/equipment And Partially finished Magic and Bestiary... I should note that I reversed Armor Penetration numbers due to my original spreadsheet layout for them, so a weapon that has a listed armor penetration of 2 will subtract 2 points from the armor rating. Among other things I had to create archery rules, which will likely need some playtesting. And increased the available range of thrown weapons. I may have a group playtest within the next couple weeks.

Re: Variant Setting Project: The Order of Souls, EP Fantasy
Variant Setting Project [hr] Just a suggestion, but The Order of Souls doesn't have to be a variant setting. Simulspaces have their own physics, and it makes sense that there would be a large population of indentured infomorphs with their memories suppressed for their indenture period acting as NPCs. Or, honestly, any infomorphs that decided the meat world is no more real than the Simulspaces and just used psychosurgery to forget anything outside the Simulspace exists. Or AGI born and bred inside the Simulspace that have no idea that anything outside of it exists, and no method of perceiving the background coding to their reality.

Sure, you can use it any way you want... ^_^ Personally I treat it as a variant setting... Though only the 'airship' & 'magic systems' are really fantasy as is, otherwise it's all fairly realistic to a historical setting set around 1860-1880. The US Civil War era. I'm trying to move it more steam punk/clock punk, but I have to get a historical view in first.
