Uplift morphs
So I'm finally getting the chance to be a player in Eclipse Phase, and I'm creating my character for the first session. He is an uplifted beluga whale, living at on Titan Autonomous University. He's also a professor in "exomarinebiology". We figured that at TAU, there would be huge tanks of water dedicated to this research, in which he lives, and works (he spends his holidays in Atlantica). Anyway, looking at the Morph Recognition Guide, I noticed that none of the neo-cetaceans have the negative trait "Lacks Manipulators" (Transhuman pg 90). Is this just overlooked, or am I not reading the text for this trait right? What do you guys think? Also, one question came up before this campaign. In water environments, should Swimming be allowed to be used like Freerunning in combat? Again, thoughts? Cheers! :)

Two explanations occur to me. 1: Yes, they did overlook that. 2: It's assumed by default that neo-ceteceans will have cybernetic manipulators installed.

Entirely reasonable.

The illustrations in Transhuman, pg. 160, seem to bear this out; however, I believe in Panopticon it's said that the uplifted baleen whales prefer to use drones instead of having cyberware.
