Hiyas!
I can't recall if monthy lifestyle costs are an issue in the EP universe...
Should I use the Costs Table for different lifestyle choices ("High" equals a "rich" lifestyle, "Expensive" would equal the "very rich," for instance), per month?
Same question about food, lodging, services, etc.
Thanks!

Re: The (unavoidable) Lifestyle Expenses question:
Monthly lifestyle costs should probably be swept under the rug for new and transitional economies as they would likely either be provided for free or be handled by rep. Also in new and transitional economies food and other basic goods such as clothing and furniture are basically free as long as you don't go for the high end, bleeding edge stuff.
For old economies, it might make sense to include the lifestyle costs since nanofabricators are limited.
However, unless the characters are indentured or criminals of some sort they can invest, gain interest, and otherwise manipulate money, so I would just ignore the lifestyle/food/lodging/ordinary service costs even for old economies in order to make the game play easier. :)

There was an old thread on this question.

My own answer was that normal middle class lifestyle is about High per month (you can estimate this by considering what a middle class person might be able to buy). But this is likely very elastic.

My persional view on monthly lifestyle is that this is a game where you are likely to be leading a double life. One that is involved in the missions and drains resources, as well as a second that is more normal, where you are holding a job just like everyone else. The second life that is not played should cover your monthly upkeep.
