Here's something that's been ringing in my head a little bit, what would a typical player character seem like to an NPC sleeved into a flat or splicer with no mesh inserts? (Maybe even no cortical stack.)
Specifically I'm referring to the average citizen in the Jovian Junta or a similarly bio-conservative and/or prmitivist habitat.
Leaving aside the indoctrinated memes of the former, that would make a seven foot synth-morph with his uplifted osprey buddy look like something out of their nightmares, how would such people appear to them?
Sure, they might "know of" such technology, but would they truly understand it? Might these visitors, with their strange bodies and superhuman capabilities, be treated with awe rather than fear? Would they perhaps, want to better themselves from this technology and become true transhumans?
I guess this post is more food for thought than a true question or address. It just seemed to me initially that part of the fun of being transhuman was lost when everyone you encountered was also a god by today's standards.
