As evidenced from this image (http://www.eclipsephase.com/sites/default/files/sunward%20cover%20web.jpg). I've grossly underestimated how far biotech has progressed, advanced biological bodies yes, but I wasn't expecting life that could live in space itself. I didn't quite expect to see whales in the sun... but am quite happy they are there (besides, they eat those pesky Photino Birds...). Thus said, what the heck IS a suryas? What is the concept behind populating sol with whale-like entities? Also, given the technology evident, are there actual biological based spacecraft?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm currently reading the Nights Dawn trilogy. Would these whales be similar to the voidhawks/blackhawks in Nights Dawn...biotech able to live in space, and have the possibility to carry passengers?
GregH, I cracked up when I saw the title of your post! Thanks. What a great movie Star Trek 4 was.
