Teenager morphs?

Teenager morphs?
Neotenic morphs. Some people love them. Some people hate them. I'm sure that many have their own story of why they choose Neotenic. Or why they are still stuck with them. I'm sure that many have an opinion on them. Well, I'm been wondering if teenager morph would be a thing? Something in between a child and adult. I'm thinking if there are children, then why not teenagers? What might some people's story be about it getting one? What might the attitude of those who don't?

I mean, in practical game
I mean, in practical game terms there likely aren't a whole ton of differences. Barring some neurological differences and appearance, teenagers (at least older teenagers), will typically approximate adults in most of the things that games care about: muscle mass, cognitive functioning, endurance. Plus, theoretically, there are probably a lot of people who want their morphs to err on the side of adolescence or at least near-adolescence in terms of appearance and physical function: nobody wants the morph that looks and feels like it's just starting to experience physical decline, and while a lot of the shift into the aches and pains of adulthood comes from the stresses of that adjustment and/or morph wear and tear, there is a psychological association of youth with pleasure and beauty. Think of Bancroft's wife from Altered Carbon.

Ooohh! I can imagine a subculture, perhaps originally composed of infolife, that treats developmental biopsychologies as drugs! The neotenic description already says that their capacity for wonder is heightened, but maybe those looking for a different high would gofor the EterniPube[sup]TM[/aup] series, with its brain almost fully developed . . . except for the consequence-considering frontal lobe and its rush of overpowering hormones. In the world of psychosurgery, adolescent awkwardness becomes a saleable novelty. Not to mention the various persona memes that are tied to teenagerhood. James Dean, surfer/skater slacker cultures, and Frankie Avalon, frex. Or would transhumanity lose the High School Cult of EuroAustraloAmerican culture (and others, but I'm a white Bay Arean genderqueer, so I'ma stay in my lane for now)? Would shifts in global economic, political, and societal dominance shift that? What cultures, memes, and societies would prize teenager morphs? Or geriatric morphs, for that matter?

One of my thoughts were that
One of my thoughts were that these morphs might be popular for those who want to forget the present, the fact that humanity was nearly annihilated, and revert to a better time. Some point in time when they didn't have to worry about income and expenses, didn't have to worry about responsibility, maybe only worry about their pickup lines. There might be habitats that cater to these people who just want to get away from the present.

Definitely. I'd say their 'population' numbers should be higher than neotenics. Modern sports, fashion, entertainment already have a pretty strong focus on late teens image as the most physically desirable. The trauma of the Fall should encourage this.

I personally say that a Neotenic can look anywhere from 9-13, and an otherwise adult morph can look anywhere from a well-developed 16+. I can see a market for morphs that exist in the space between, say, 14-16.

Seriously, you couldn't pay me to go through that again.
I agree with ShadowDragon, physical age is usually going to be a matter of aesthetics. I'd expect apparent age to cluster around the early 20s (youthful looks coupled with fully developed organ/musculature systems), with outliers in either direction due to specific design considerations. Neurologically speaking, I think adolescence is going to be a miniscule market, because 'thinking' like a teenager is pure hell. If you really want that level of emotional feedback, see Endocrine Control. I 'could' see it as a negative morph trait though, if the brain hasn't developed correctly.
In the past we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few. But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again?

Well neotonics have developed
Well neotonics have developed brains. They're just smaller and more child like. I think these morphs would be much the same, just teenager like. Anyways, aptitudes. Would +5 REF, +5 SAV, +5 SOM, +5 ANY work for these morphs? I'm thinking why people would want younger morphs is to have a youthful energy and to be good in social situations. Basically being popular and does sports. I'm thinking the morphs would be aged ranging from 13 to 18, with some ability to extend the range with custom work. Aptitudes of 30. No augments beyond the standard. Anything else I need to address? If not, I'm ready to use morph creation rules.

I dont think there is really
I dont think there is really a call for different morph. This would seem to be cover just by aesthetics. Its not like you're gonna go after the crappier parts of being a teenager. Acne, cracking voice, poor bodily coordination, and mood swings.

So, there aren´t many
So, there aren´t many children around to count, but if you conceive a child, it already means the parents have biomorphs capable of reproduction. The child is born in a body that is essentially an outcome of genetic traits of its biological parents. I guess this means a lot of headache when it comes to dominant traits - between different biomorph types. The result will be complete, but may have an unusual combination for a morph. The baby will not have a cortical stack as that needs implantation and i guess it doesn´t make sense to do that until a later age (5-7 years maybe). Growing up in a society where mommy and daddy eventually change bodies is difficult, but manageable. Your parents will be there forever, which adds to a feeling of safety. But to come back to "teenagers"... Biomorphs are grown to adult size, you can decant them earlier if your specs require the morph to be younger. Some people may enjoy the rush of hormones. Should be no problem, even if its viewed as quirky. Generally, a child growing up may need to stay in its birth morph for as long as possible - to learn movement, go through puberty, aquire social skills, etc. Parents will probably have long and difficult discussions about that family holiday on titan..."It's so far away and Peter would need to change his morph, maybe we should delay that till he is older..." So, in general, everything can be produced to spec - but it has nothing to do with children at all, they have their own problems.

OK, this is what I've put
OK, this is what I've put together. Adolescent Morph For some people, they wish to return to a better time in their youth. The adolescent morph is an attempt to cater to such wishes. This is a morph that is gene spliced to retain a youthful body, ranging 15-18 years in age, while avoiding some annoying problems that teenagers deal with (like acme or a cracking voice). While this morph has a small reduction in size and changes to apparent age, it is a fully functional biomorph. Its quality is comparable to Exalts, with aptitudes optimized to a physical and sociable life style. Enhancements: Basic Biomods, Basic Mesh Inserts, Cortical Stack Aptitude Maximum: 30 Durability: 35 Wound Threshold: 7 Advantages: +5 REF, +5 SAV, +5 SOM, ANY +5 CP Cost: 30 Credit Cost: Expensive (minimum 30,000+) I await your feedback. I'm not sure if it should have social stigma like neotenics do. I've left it out for now.

That sounds about right, it's
That sounds about right, it's literally an Exalt with fewer choices for aptitudes, which seems about right for what amounts to a specific Exalt line.
