Syndicate 2012: The Rebootening
For an average quality big budget FPS (in other words good, not great, at least worth a rental) it's got some surprisingly Eclipse Phaseable stuff in it: the CHIP tech works much like mesh inserts, including AR capability and a built in AI muse that can (among other things) hack local surveillance and add your ID to the database so you can blend in (a digital Someone Else's Problem field). Not to mention subvert everyone else's so they go batshit insane and blow their own brains out after going on a team-killing rampage; easiest way to implement that in EP would have to be a YGBM attack through the mesh inserts. It isn't Deus Ex by a long shot but it's not near as bad as I thought it might be (aside from the bloom; there is FAR too much bloom in this game). And that's coming from a guy who still plays the original RTS.

Personnaly, I love the game! I finished it once, already, and trying to outdo myself. my guilty pleasure is the persuasion of a soldier and turn him against his buddies, then, when he's shot down, I suicide the one who killed him. The hacking of grenade and locking bullets are really fun and ideas ripe for picking and placing in EP. the Dart AI is perfect exemple of a Muse (even more so than Red Faction Armaggedon's SAM) and the special sight (RB trigger on the 360) is almost like a direct adaptation of the T-Rays of EP. My favorite part is certainly the whole kidnapping of Lily Drawl affair. From the attack on her appartment, the chase, and the floating city, that's just awesome! the Ballena could inspire Cyberpunk 3.0 GM (for a Riptide floating city) but also, with some adaption an Aerostat habitat for Venus Meritt and Lily both make awesome NPCs and the propaganda you can pick on different channels through out the missions provides good idea of spin doctoring and memetic engineering possible for Planetary Consortium or Jovian Republic media

I do like the idea of subliminal AR propaganda, directly visible only to those with the right encryption protocols. And any character voiced by Canada's own Micheal "Top Dollar" Wincott is always made of pure awesome. Scientific fact. EDIT: I do have one small regret: I really wish I could have had the choice to
Spoiler: Highlight to view
shoot Lily as she's walking away at the end
just so I could have that good ol' Syndicate "I'm playing a truly evil bastard and I'm loving it" feeling.

Yeah! it's like we're forced to be Paragon when one want to be a Renegade bastard lke Meritt First time around, I avoided killing civilians, but now, I shoot them when I'm in ennemy territory. First time I played, when i was in the train, I was 0_O when Meritt shot all the passengers in the wagon, including the driver it's really cathartic, but bad for rep!

Shoot them? Why waste ammunition on the plebes? Just stomp them to death with you corporate jackboots! ;)
