Surviving TITANs' menaces.
EP is the RPG with items what are the wet dream of a munchkin player, but the Game Master have got the enough resources to cause nightmares to worst powergamers. Your PC can be a morph like Terminator T-800, Robocop or Optimus Prime but you aren't enough safe about to survive without being infected by an exurgent virus. In EP a quest or mission may end with a APK (all players killed) but with a victory for the players because the threat has been stopped. What are your ideas and suggestions to survive enemy nanoswarns and exurgent virus? If you find a creeper (TITAN femtobot swarn, maybe the worst nightmare for EP PCs)... the only answer would be run away? How to create morphs to endurace better, for example mixing tech and biological issues? Or biomorph without earthling DNA because has been created with cells from alien beings (from Pandora gates). Can analogue tech (without software) avoid digital virus? Are force-shields possible like defense againts exurgent vectors?
The Master Confucius said: “The noble man is in harmony but does not follow the crowd. The inferior man follows the crowd, but is not in harmony.” (Anaclet 13:23).

Good backup insurance, but
Good backup insurance, but before that: Guardian swarms and zappers can stop nanoswarms for a while, minutes at least, hours hopefully. Plasma grenades are also an effective countermeasure, but again, only really help for hours, or until they sneak up. Against an Exsurgent I don't think using alien biology would help a whole lot, the virus can infect pretty much anything. Against Exsurgent nanotech, nothing really helps for long. Analog gear can't be infected by the digital virus, but can transmit basilisk hacks. You can use various methods to make it harder to get basilisk hacked, but those make it harder to sense things at all, which can be a big problem. Force fields might do something, but don't really exist in EP, so it's hard to say. They wouldn't stop a Creeper though.

The problem with Exsurgent
The problem with Exsurgent tech is that it seems to be so technologically advanced, it can attack us in ways we can't predict or forsee. I would normally think that basilisk hacks are impossible, but I can't really prove it can't be done. Exsurgent tech is supposed to be advanced enough that such an attack method is one of a great many options it has. However, what you might want to be more afraid of is problems you can't see. You can fight a nanoswarms with EMP and fire, you can shoot monsters, you can close your eyes and plug your ears against basilisk hacks (maybe, you would do better with a Faraday cage), but the attacks you don't see coming you are least ready to defend against. Arguably, in the setting of Eclipse Phase, your best defense against anything the Exsurgents has or does is to throw some of your own forks out to find problems, even if this means they will die in the process. Report back frequently so maybe one of your backups or allies can do something about it.
