Logical counterpoint to the thread about what the juntas thinks of/calls other parts of transhumanity: What does the rest of transhumanity think of/call the junta? Oh, dear. This thread could get really nasty. (Ha! I'm worried about getting nasty in a forum dedicated to a game that used the term "XXXXmeat" in it's latest product. :rolleyes:) I'd think that some factions might call them "Neanderthals" for obvious reasons. The junties could think of this as an implied threat given that homo sapiens apparently exterminated neanderthals about 40 millennia ago. "Meatheads" might be term used by non biological entities. I'd think that "junts", pronounced to rhyme with another word spelled similarly might be a favorite of some people, especially british and australian natives. "Space nazis" would be likely. "Poppers" could be another term used by non biologicals in reff to the way organic being "pop" during explosive decompression. (Yes, I just thought of that one myself.) "Softies" is another term synthamorphs might use. Also "Squishies". "Unprocessed diamonds" might be used by more non biologicals, referring to the practice of making artifical diamonds out of human remains now. If they get to where diamonds are used in processor cores, as is possible now, then they might refer to jovies as "Unprocessed components". "Shitters", "Shit factories" and "shit bags" might be yet more terms non biological entities might use. (Given the language used in EP, they'd fit right in.) "Flat heads", "obsoletes", "primitives", "barbarians", "Slows"...Those could be used by almost anyone in EP who has even basic genetic/cuber upgrades. "Stinks" would be a term people with clean metabolisms might employ. Also "Gags", "chokes", "pukes", etc. (Whoah, did you get a whiff of that gag ambassador from the junta? I almost puked! I sure hope our people who have to deal with more than one stink at a time have their olfactory nerves switched off!)
