root@Social network relative influence scores [hr] F-rep is real now. The feedback mechanisms from abstracting something as nebulous as social media clout into numbers are already changing the way that reputation itself is perceived, and that change is causing more feedback. This first rush toward reputation as a commodity will be a new economic bubble, as it is already showing signs of being a self-fulfilling prophecy, but for now it looks like some people have found a way to feed themselves with a reputation economy. Very exciting!
