skillsofts
(since i keep getting a validation error when searching for skillsoft topics, i will post this) i'm working on a skillsoft user character. items for discussion: 1) is skillware "hardware" upgradable to provide a bonus, and to allow more than 100 points of skills to be used? 2) is skillware able to adjust the amount of a skillsoft it is using? -(ex. language 40, infosec 40, blades 40 are all loaded up. would the pc be able to any combination upto 40 not to exceed a 100 of these skills as the situation changes during the encounter? or is it all or nothing?) 3) is skillsoft programming upgradable to have more than a 40 point max? 4) how compatable is skillsoft use and the eidetic memory trait (ego)? 5) how do you feel about skillsofts for social skills? thanks

Re: skillsofts
1) No, and no. 2) Yes, AFAIK? If there's not one in the mechanic already (can't recall), I'd impose an action cost on swapping them (same as loading distinct ones). 3) No. 4) What do you mean? Fully, given that they do totally different things. I assume you're asking if you can 'remember' unloaded skillsofts as active skills… in which case, no. Eidetic memory is experience memory (memories of things you've seen/etc.). Even using it to read encyclopedias wouldn't really be the same as having points in a Knowledge skill, much less an active one. 5) About the same as skillsofts for creative skills (roughly all skills). :)
