Shevek?
Hi! A quick question for the game designers: A person named Shevek is mentioned in the Call for Solidarity snippet on page 77 of the book. Now, he is mentioned in an anarchist section of the book; and Shevek is the name of the main character in Urusla LeGuin's The Dispossessed. Just a freak coincidence, or a subtle homage to the Odoist anarchists from LeGuin's book?

Re: Shevek?
I can't answer your question directly, because I didn't put that in there, but consider: EP is set in a future version of our world. Literature being produced now -- if it survives -- is old enough to have gained a solid reputation and been studied in schools. So if you see people or things that appear to be named after, say, twentieth century sci-fi literature, this might say as much about the character who chose that name as the tastes of the author who wrote them up.

Re: Shevek?
Yup. That was my reasoning too. But it's nice to hear from the guys who wrote the book (so I can brag to my group that genius minds think alike :O).

As a direct answer -- yes, that was a nod to LeGuin's The Dispossessed :)
