Shape Adjusting robotic enhancement: got questions?
I'm working on some guidelines for how the Shape Adjusting augmentation for synthmorphs works. Anyone got burning questions on this point that you'd like to see clarified?

If a morph has shape
If a morph has shape adjusting, skinflex, synthetic mask, and chameleon skin, what shapes can't it take, and why? Is the synthetic mask even required to pass as a biomorph with those other augmentations?

Rate of change. How fast can
Rate of change. How fast can a synthmorph with the enhancement change its shape? Say something heavy but non solid (a lattice structure, for example) is dropped on the morph. Can it rapidly adjust its shape in such a way that it could avoid being hurt? Or a more extreme example; Say someone is shooting at the morph and the morph is capable of perceiving each shot (using Mental Speed, for example). Can the morph rapidly adjust its form to avoid being hit? The latter is more of a narrative question, as the implant doesn't provide any bonus to, for example, fray. But I find it good to lock these kinds of things down.

More game-mechanic detail for
More game-mechanic detail for the flexbot would be awesome: - what happens for very large sets of flexbots (higher DUR? Other?) - examples of 'standard' configurations for flexbot modules It would also be great to see some higher-spec flexbots (eg. with stat bonuses a bit more like a Steel or Savant morph). Can Shape Adjusting be used to produce a simple concealed weapon (for example, turn your morph's hand into a heavy pistol)? How about melee weapons (a la the T1000). I love flexbots and the shape-adjusting tech (it's my primary morph in our game), but some more specific detail would be really helpful to give more of a handle on their capabilities. Thanks! :-) Really looking forward to the guidelines - where will they be appearing?

I'd like to have some
I'd like to have some specific limits defined. Can total volume be changed, by how much? If my average cross section is x units squared how much can that be changed? What does shape adjusting mean and how does it modify my morph? Does it make the morph entirely out of smart materials like a T1000 terminator or just parts of the morph. Which parts of a morph are shape adjusting? If the shell of a morph is shape adjusting smart materials how does that work with other nanite systems like skin flex, medichines, repair spray/self healing? And also a general question; how are nanite/smart materials systems layered or combined? Can I have; shape adjusting, skinflex, smart skin, chameleon coating, reactive coating all at the same time or combine them into a single system? Can I use the self healing armor option on any or all of these systems? Can I have both self healing/repair spray and medichines and do their effects stack? Also: When I change my from from truck to walker what happens to my trailer? If I'm the same size as my walker freinds when I'm in walker form how do they fit inside me when I switch to airplane form? When I switch from giant robot form to tiny pistol form my mass is the same, so am I a really light robot or is Starscream just really strong?

Mea Culpa: My mode of speech can make others feel uninvited to argue or participate. This is the EXACT opposite of what I intend when I post.
