Looks like concept art to me.

Re: Real life Factor?
Pretty good render, but I have to agree.

Re: Real life Factor?
If it's a render, what does that have to do with anything? It's a render of a real creature. While it may not be an exact match for the Factors, it's not a bad species at all to read a little on for inspiration if you're going to be featuring the Factors in an EP game.

Re: Real life Factor?
I saw nothing in that link to indicate to me it was a drawing of a real creature...

Re: Real life Factor?
The image provided the name of the creature, which made it very easy to Google. For example: http://seaslugsofhawaii.com/species/Glaucus-atlanticus-a.html as well as: http://www.thecephalopodpage.org/MarineInvertebrateZoology/Glaucusatlant... They're actually pretty neat. EDIT: Added second link.

Gorgeous-looking organism, but I don't know if the factors would look like this. The blue swallow is decidedly evolved for oceanic travel, so a similar-looking creature wouldn't fare well as a land-based predator. Still, pretty awesome looking. I wonder if you can get one as a pet?

They don't do well in tanks. They have a very specific diet, which is very hard to maintain for all but the most experienced of tank keepers (i.e, professionals). Still a cool looking animal though. Not sure that that first image is a render, btw, fairly certain that it is simply a clean photo taken on a white background with some HDR applied.

We need to genefix these adorable little things to be a bit more survivable. Because I want one, dammit!

Re: Real life Factor?
Yup, actually, they are. Kind of. Someone (I think it was Rob) gave the artist who illustrated the Factors in core photos of sea slugs for reference. Nature: weirder than your imagination. :)

@Decivre, Page 373 seems to be the one you are looking for. Edit: Core Book, sorry.

Re: Real life Factor?
Probably because of the basilisk hack embedded on page 374?

Re: Real life Factor?
Negative. The hack that does that is in the customization points table pg 135 to prevent over-zealous players from reading the GM section. The hack you detected on pg 374 makes you send 20 bucks a month to Rob Boyle.
