Question: How do you handle the cost for gear?
I read once read throgh the core rules and the Gears section remaind a a bit of a riddle for me. Ok i got a chart with differant prizings, depending on the rarity of the article. But if i look up the guns for example, i don't find an info if a railgun is a rare good or if it's common. So how do handle that? I allready searched throgh the board for a matching topic but didn't find a right thread, but if i was blind please support me with a link! :)

I take it you mean the cost modifiers on Page 296? Those are almost entirely for your GM. It is up to your GM to decide how rare an item is depending on where you happen to be at any time. For example, on an Outer System utopia you might be able to find a railgun (or someone with a good blueprint of one) with some ease, so your GM might decide that that particular item is Common and you get a -25% reduction to cost. However, if you are on one of the Jovian stations and you are trying to get your hands on, basically, any of the nanotech gear you are going to have an extremely hard time, so your GM might decide that any such items are Extremely Rare and apply a +50% bonus to cost. TLDR: Item rarity is decided by your GM depending on where you are in the System.
