A subject came up in my group as one of the character was thinking of making extensive use of Liquid Thermite in combat. When we started thinking about it, the subject was further muddied by things like Lotus Armor Mod (that protects against liquid attacks), and Fireproofing (that protects against fire and heat). What also was brought up was if Energy Armor plays a roll in countering liquid thermite. I understand the Lotus wouldn't help much once it's been activated, and that modern fireproofing retardants only protect up to 1000 C. Still not sure on the Energy Armor part though.
So yeah, any thoughts?

Energy armor is weird. As it
Energy armor is weird. As it protects against a plasma rifle, it should also provide protection against thermite. The lotus coating will also help-not against the heat, of course, but it should keep the stuff off the intended victim, so it will be the heat of something burning around you rather than the heat of something burning on your vacsuit or armor.

You, too, were made by humans. The methods used were just cruder, imprecise. I guess that explains a lot.

That's a good point. It says in the book that Liquid Thermite burns at 2500 C. Plasma can range anyone from a million to 150 million degrees. Putting aside the temperatures, we also know that Plasma (average DV of 35) does far more damage than Liquid Thermite (20). If all this was true though, I wonder why it doesn't mention this anywhere under Liquid Thermite. Maybe they just missed it?

Frome the core book: "Energy
Frome the core book: "Energy damage includes that caused by beam weapons (laser, microwave, particle beam, plasma, etc.) as well as fire and high-energy explosives. Armor that protects against this damage is made of material that reflects or diffuses such energy, dissipates and transfers heat, or ablates" (194). Further more: "Energy damage includes lasers, plasma guns, fire, electrocution, explosions, and others sources of damaging energy" (206).
Liquid thermite is definitely considered Energy damage and is opposed by Energy armour. I'd rule: if someone is wearing Lotus, they would only take half damage if the liquid thermite is activated immediately or within the same turn. Next turn, all the liquid thermite will have dribbled off onto the ground.
