Through the eyes of Zeroes
Here's something that's been ringing in my head a little bit, what would a typical player character seem like to an NPC sleeved into a flat or splicer with no mesh inserts? (Maybe even no cortical stack.) Specifically I'm referring to the average citizen in the Jovian Junta or a similarly bio-conservative and/or prmitivist habitat. Leaving aside the indoctrinated memes of the former, that would make a seven foot synth-morph with his uplifted osprey buddy look like something out of their nightmares, how would such people appear to them? Sure, they might "know of" such technology, but would they truly understand it? Might these visitors, with their strange bodies and superhuman capabilities, be treated with awe rather than fear? Would they perhaps, want to better themselves from this technology and become true transhumans? I guess this post is more food for thought than a true question or address. It just seemed to me initially that part of the fun of being transhuman was lost when everyone you encountered was also a god by today's standards.
Your passion is power. Focus it. Your body is a tool. Hone it. Transhummanity is a pantheon. Exalt it!

Reactions would vary from person to person, I'd think. Especially if we're talking like, tenth-gen primitivists or something; they might outright deify the strange beings. Zeroes who are Zero not of their own choice are probably envious, or might even beg them to smuggle them out somehow. Some Zeroes are Zeroes because they've fallen into the position of slave to criminal elements and megacorps, after all. Some of them probably were not Zeroes all of their lives, and are probably struggling extra-hard to get by without AR and their muses. Zeroes who reject transhuman technology as being what got them into this mess in the first place, but who know about it, probably shun the seven-foot-tall synth and his uplift buddy at the very least, if not being outright aggressive and hostile. Jovians aren't necessarily Zeroes, they just aren't allowed to have mesh inserts. They likely still have ectoes and AR goggles. Some of them probably had their mesh inserts removed. They probably see your protagonists as reckless, and just begging to get brainhacked by some TITAN.
