Seattle time zone (GMT-8), previous gaming experience with D&D3.5 and 4.0, Pathfinder, Traveller, World of Darkness, and a custom system created by a friend, usually played engineers/wizards/rogues with a group of munchkins and settings optimized to give them a challenge (I was one of the few balanced characters, the rest were broken). Used to creating new settings and equipment for games that was balanced and worked, so good on the "I am well acquainted with the devil" level of background details.
