MOVIE?!?

I know this was posted before on the blog, but it was still news to me... Rights to a movie??(??) For real? http://www.flamesrising.com/nachos-ent-eclipse-phase/ (I can't find much the company has done, however you can look up that Stephen Marinaccio on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0003657/ ) Do we know anything else about this? Is this going to be my favorite sort of movie where everyone dies - except they can die again and again?

Eh. Movie rights being purchased don't really mean anything. Companies purchase movie rights all the time and then do nothing with them. This could be awesome... or nothing at all.

Further exacerbating that risk is the fact that their website has been largely inactive for quite some time. They have three announcements on their site: that they optioned Eclipse Phase, that they opened a website for the movie (which is now dead, apparently), and that they are planning to make a new reality TV show. I'll get my hopes up when I actually see a MoreNachos production.

Remember, Jerry Bruckheimer optioned the rights to make a Rifts movie more than 10 years ago with no movie actually resulting. That said, who wants to be geeky and cast it based on characters from the book? :)
