Things may be different in EP - jSnead has said his stats for fusion plants were different - but they give us a good starting off point.

And then someone had the bright idea of shining a laser at diamonds stated to have tendencies to blow up when a laser is shown through them at the pressures they're working at. (Link removed as I found that it thought my linking to a couple of different articles was spam.) But at least they're already working on a new setup already with larger diamond anvils and no lasers in the setup this time and have stated to be working on reproducing the results in the next couple of weeks..
