The Malleable Mind Trait in Transhuman
I'm a bit confused by the positive trait Malleable Mind:
Quote:
Malleable Mind Cost: 10 CP (Level 1), 20 CP (Level 2), 30 CP (Level 3) Either through a natural quirk or psychosurgical conditioning, the character’s neural architecture is especially malleable and more readily accepts psychosurgical changes. Apply a −10 modifier per level to the character’s WIL x 3 Test when receiving voluntary psychosurgery (including neural pruning of forks). This modifier does not apply to involuntary psychosurgery.
Shouldn't the modifier you get be positive?

I believe the WILx3 is a reflexive resistance to the Psychosurgery roll. If you're having elective surgery, you presumably want to fail, so you get a negative modifier. But I could be completely misremembering this.

Well, technically, the mind always fights psycho surgery. To get a psycho surgery edit to hold, the psycho surgeon must beat the roll made by the victim/beneficiary. So being able to get a negative modifier to the resistance roll is helpful if you want the edit. EP Core, p. 230

PSYCHOSURGERY MECHANICS In game terms, psychosurgery is handled as a Task Action requiring a Variable Opposed Test. The psychosurgeon rolls Psychosurgery skill against the target’s WIL × 3. Apply modifiers as appropriate from the Psychosurgery Modifiers table.
Thankfully, the modifiers from that trait only apply to voluntary psycho surgery (though you are probably screwed anyways if you get captured and put into an environment where they can try to hack you).
