Idle Speculation - Combining Moxie with X
Over the past few weeks, a couple of ideas have been bouncing around my head, and I was wondering what you Gentles think of them. To be clear, these aren't full houserules and probably aren't going to be, unless someone explicitly wants me to write them up in full. The ideas are - Would it make sense to consolidate Moxie with either Willpower or Fray? It means that Moxie would become even more important than it is now, but somewhat balanced with a more dire cost of actually spending it. Good Idea? Bad Idea? Dennis Idea? You tell me, because I honestly don't know :D
In the past we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few. But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again?

What would combining moxie
What would combining moxie and fray actually mean? Would rolling fray reduce moxie or something?

Behold the Top of my Head.
The other way around - using moxie would reduce fray. The version which jumped into my head was that instead of an actual Skill, you would Fray against attacks with Reflex + (5 x Current Moxie). This would really push characters to max out Moxie even more than they would atm, but every time a point is spent the character becomes more vunerable to attack.

That sounds interesting, I'd
That sounds interesting, I'd have to play with it to really see how much I like it. Moxie is such a powerful offensive combat resource that this adds a nice degree of balance to moxie-hog combat characters, on the other hand it makes Fray more expensive, as it would effectively make fray 3 CP per 1% chance of success, which could have unpredictable effects on combat. I think its worth checking out.
