I know that there are some articles about weapon in EP, but I wanted to add some color to the rules. Here are some examples, I´ll add some more examples as soon as I can write them. Assault Riffle “freedom fighter” also known as “AK-440” The PF cheap and simple alternative to most of the super high-tech assault rifles of the system. The weapon was first developed before the fall by an outer system anarchist tech of Russian background; as a lower tech answer for giving an affordable and low resources depleting weapon for “self-defence”. Clearly based on the mythic AK-47 is a very popular weapon in the Outer system, even between the Jovian Junta, which is slowly adopting it as regular weapon for its troops. Its uses a bigger calibre bullet than usual, bulky and ugly, its just fire in semi automatic and full auto modes, its range is shorter than most of the modern assault rifles but it’s extremely reliable and strong and its shells can stop everyone except the most augmented morphs. Is the last non bullpup rifle in the system; but there are available versions with collapsible stocks. damage AP Fire modes Ammo Range 2D10 + 8 -8 SA/FA 30 100/200/400/600 Rules: Is not designed for smart links, so adding one will be more expensive than usual at GM discretion; in the same line there are not rail gun version of this gun, at least not in the market. The GM can be as restrictive as desired with adding high tech add-ons. As a lower tech alternative, when bought with credits, it must be cheaper than a regular rifle. Its ammo is not compatible with the rifles from the corebook, but is extremely common in the outer system. It can accept caseless and old fashioned cased ammo. The blue prints for building this gun and its ammunition is extremely easy to find, a lot of “open source” activist around the system try to spread the design, especially in the most restrictive habitats. In the same blueprints, are included ones for assembling it with regular tools(90% of the gun is stamped metal) so it can be easily assembled from separate parts made with common use tool that can be created even in restricted fabbers if you have the correct blueprints. Machinegun version: with a little harded roll you can find the LMG blueprints for transforming the assault rifle in a LMG, its almost 1.5 meters long. It has the same stats but ammo load is 70(big round magazine, its not accept ammunition belts) and the range range is 80/300/500/1000; its share ammunition with the assault rifle version. Submachinegun version: as easy to find as the assault rifle version; much less bulky than the assault rifle but with the same stopping power makes it quite a bit uncontrollable. It’s has same stats but the range is 20/40/60/80 and the shooter has an additional -10 modifier when shoot in full auto mode (it has a too big cartridge for such small weapon) in the last two range segments. It shares ammunition with the assault rifle version. Super heavy pistol “ RXS .60 Hand Cannon” The direct descendant of the old XX century “too big” automatic pistols; is too bulky and imprecise for real professional use, but that don’t stop the hordes of gangster and military wannabes to buy or acquire it; Is very popular between body guards in the inner system mostly due to its intimidating look. damage AP Fire modes Ammo Range 2D10 + 12 -6 SS/SA/FA 8 10/25/45/60 Rules: It is one prize category expensive than the regular heavy pistol. It doesn’t share ammunition with other pistols. When fired in SA mode the shooter has an additional -10 modifer. If you are crazy enough; when fired in FA mode you have an additional -20 modifer; GM must be especially cruel in case of critical failure (with the pistol jumping from players hands and hitting him in the face, or faling to the ground shooting full auto to everyone near or so) Optional for the GM this gun can gives a +10 mod to intimidation roll due the almost “mythic” category of the gun.

Thanks, I´m working in some kind of weapons and equipement little compendium, It´s not strictly needed, but I think that giving some character to the equipement can be good for some campaings. BTW anyone that want to add some homebrew equipement to this thread is welcome
