Gatecrashing Release Date?
So I was browsing BookDepository for Eclipse Phase books and I saw that they had Gatecrashing listed. With a release date. [url=http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/9780984583539/Eclipse-Phase-Gatecra... As far as I am aware this is the first time I have seen a set date for Gatecrashing. Wonder if it is accurate, or just BookDepository doing Amazon like shenanigans and guessing.

I'd take it with a pinch of salt the size of Saturn until Adam and co. actually tell us a due date. We know from the other Gatecrashing thread that that won't happen until the week before the pdf is ready, or the books are in the warehouse. Colin

Something I'm wondering is that, since the book was just written, if there'll be any reference to Avatar (not the bald tatooed brat, the flick about human getting their ass rightfully handed back to them). If any book could help recreate the setting in EP, that's Gatecrashing.

For the record, the Avatar TV show is unfairly shat upon because M. Night Shyamalan gangbanged the original material to death. The TV show is very good, especially once you hit seasons 2 and 3.

I totally agree, but I'm a Zuko fan, and couldn't stand Aang except in the last season, and the multi-parter finale. funny thing is, the voice actress who dubbed Azula (Grey Delisle) is a voice I associated from the get go with Sava from Lack. I can't wait to read the intro story of Gatecrashing, wonder what character it'll introduce ^^

soooooo gatecrashing in hard cover ... when ? for Avatar (the animated) it's really a cool series for Avatar (the movie) don't get me started, at the end of the movie i was wandering where i could hang myself (if you want to continue this debate create a post somewhere else :P)

In the past we have gotten release dates when the books got into a warehouse. From what I understand they only got sent off to their printer in Texas quite lately, so I don't think we can expect to see it for atleast a couple of months. But you never know, the mid-Jan dates being thrown about by sellers might be accurate. I doubt it though. TLDR - We will get the release date when we get the release date :p

I'm sure we'll get the PDF much earlier than that. I loved Avatar the movie, myself. saw it about a hundred times now. I can understand people didn't like it, but personnally is one of my favorite movie of all time. And another reason I love EP is the similitudes I could see when I first read it. Especially the exoplanets. Look at Echo IV, it's strongly reminiscent of Pandora to me, and the Mist Trees, they evoked two sings for me. The martian singing tree that Bancroft owns at his mansion in Altered Carbon and the Utral Aymokriyä (tree of voices) of the Na'vi I hope Gatecrashing will explain more about them. Something I was wondering, speaking of exoplanets and by extension alien life forms. Has anybody read Brin's Sundiver? I though that it could be interesting to show non-uplifted version of the Pila race or semi-sentient version of the broccoli-like botanical alien like the Kanten ambassador Fagin

Just finished An Infinite Horizon. (Wouldn't mind seeing a continuation of this or Lack sometime in future, both great lead ins.) The ToC was nice added teaser well worth 99 cents for a peek behind curtain.

As many folks have noted, we'll post the actual street release date (and the PDF release date) once it's been confirmed. The book is currently still at the printer. We will be doing weekly previews on the blog this month. I wouldn't recommend pre-ordering at Amazon (or anywhere else) just yet. While Amazon has a listing, the information is not updated. The final book rounds out at 200 pages and has a cover price of $44.99. Since Amazon is still listing an incorrect price, any pre-orders that are made will just get canceled when they update the listing. In our experience so far, Amazon has unfortunately been quite slow to update the information. You will know it is safe to order from Amazon when we list a link on our Releases page (we will likely also post it loudly on the blog and elsewhere).
