Adam postet this just on twitter: http://adamjury.com/2010/i-want-an-eclipse-phase-fanzine/
And since i support this idea, i think we could do it. How is the interest in contributing to a monthly eZine with topics like new adventure seeds, character ideas, general intel, experimental house rules etc pp?

[hr] Not a bad idea at all. One way to do it would be to simply take a selection of the best new morphs, best short fiction, best new habitat, best new art, best new adventure, and however many other "bests" are needed to fill out the fanzine. The authors would get a rep boost and would get to see their work formatted, prettied up, and made official (semi official?). I would caution against a static writing staff, as there is a danger of killing crowdsourcing in the forums if there is an official fanzine with a dedicated writing staff. After all, why would I publish my list of cool new morphs to the forums if in order to have it recognized I have to get it checked off by Tom the Morph Guy, or whoever is officially in charge of morphs? I write them because I think they are neat, and I think people will enjoy reading them if I publish them. If I suddenly have to get some sort of unofficial "permission" from Tom the Morph Guy, or if I have reason to think that readers won't value my contribution because it wasn't written by Tom, I simply won't bother doing it, and EP gets robbed of what might have been. That said, a fanzine without an editor and a layout artist is going to be a very sad thing, and won't get published on anything approaching a schedule.@-rep +1

[hr] Rhyx gave me an idea for the fanzine of including an article about transhumanism or cyberethics in each release. One of the things I love about this site is its active experimentation and exploration of the transhuman elements from the game. For instance, the idea of formalizing a cyberdemocracy for the fanzine not only helps protect the fanzine from itself, it gives us all an opportunity to take part in a real cyberdemocracy. I don't know about other people, but that isn't something I get much experience with in my life off-line. As a side note, I've noticed myself beginning to devalue cash in some situations in my life off-line in favor of reputation. And the fun part? It works startlingly well.@-rep +1

[hr] Not bad at all. Additionally, that would solve our problem of deciding when to hand out i-rep. If i-rep is something that can only be received for having work published in The Eye, or by working on The Eye, I'm pretty sure I'd be motivated to work on the fanzine.@-rep +1
