Earth or Gate scenarios
Are there any written scenario about a return to Earth or travel to an exoplanet? Official, unofficial... I haven't seen any.

There's a couple that were run at cons. I'm not sure if those will get published (or even just shared online).

Fascinating
This is of the same caliber as the core book, which is all I have at the moment. Even if I were never to play or run a game, this stuff is simply fascinating reading for all the contemplation and exposition generated by the writer and by fans such as yourself. What an amazing dialogue about technology and the future, and about the human mind! Absolutely amazing work. I think you should have published this third-party and marketed it on rpgnow.com, to tell you the truth.

Nah, Arena's a futurist at his core, at least from what I've gathered. Information should be free as well as freely available. This can bring us one step closer to an actual post-scarcity society.

I wouldn't mind getting paid for my stuff, but often that is so much more of a hassle to implement that I feel it is easier to give it away. Just remember where you got it, donate to good research, and please share good ideas!

Hi, I've made quite a long
Hi, I've made quite a long scenario (can easily become a campaign...) with the players awakening on the Earth..... it basically involves reclaimers, the standard wall of lies from Planetary Consortium, TITANs, earth survivors and.... obviously a Gate ;) but there is only one problem..... it is in Italian! I've started the translation of the intro but I am quite far from finishing it in the short term..... too many things to do and the sequel still under progress! contact me if interested ciao

Nah, remember that in microgravity you don't need those legs. I like your version of my motivations, I'll make sure to make an edited fork with those values. :-)

QFT. Good research leads to good stories. (It may also have some other fringe benefits, but whatever.)

I am still inordinately proud that "Think Before Asking" came out almost a year before my paper I based it on. And I hope to write more adventures based on my papers. (Sadly my most recent one, on ethics of brain emulation, is already inherent in the setting... except perhaps the chronology issue... maybe I do have an adventure idea there!)

Will do, once it is accepted by the reviewers. And I think the EP community will *love* my paper on how to make Bracewell probes and how it relates to the Fermi Paradox...

Oh definitely, the more discussion about the FP the better :)

I think you could modify the scenario of Hardware/Mark 13-Reclaimer gets an artifact from Earth, things go bad, the whole movie is on youtube I believe, it has kick-ass intro, music and atmosphere http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardware_(film)

I don't think there's
I don't think there's anything official, no. I had one scenario I was working on, which was Gatecrashing adventure based loosely on Heart of Darkness / Apocalypse Now. The idea was that the PCs were gunning for a Major James Anderson, a Jovian operative who had been conducting operations in the Gate networks and gone renegade, becoming a central figure in an exhuman cult and responsible for attacks on transhuman colonies. Substitute "the void" for the "the jungle", and throw in some emptiness motifs...it practically writes itself. There was a variation on that scenario that I was also considering, which was where the same guy - and his Async companion, Dragon, had managed to steal a program developed under CYAN DAMOCLES LONGBOW; a gate worm designed to force a remote gate to detonate like the Discord Gate did (with some implication that the destruction of the Discord Gate was in fact a weapons test, not an accident), and were now on the verge of being able to effectively wipe out major settlements and deny gate access to transhumanity permanently. In this scenario, Anderson believes he's doing his duty, and plans to go on a one-man suicide mission against the TITANs when he's done stopping transhumanity from accessing the Gates. Of course, since his companion is an async, there's some question of what's really going on, and to what degree the guy is a dupe for more sinister powers.
This isn't a war ordinary humans can win. This is the future. Death's an inconvenience, now. Nothing more.

Fascinating
I think this is awesome material for both a novel as well as for an adventure supplement, and I for one would like to see it fully developed!

I've recently done a couple
I've recently done a couple of runs to earth and back with great success! Honestly, Earth is so much scarier to the players than any alien planet I can send them to. Nanoswarms, bioplagues, and reapers, OH MY! Plus, I was using google map screenshots to create images of satellite telemetry data. Fun fact: currently, the Japanese Ministry of Defense is just down the block from one of their more prestigious tech schools in Shinjuku.

Earth...
...would definitely be the place to provide the 'sci-fi horror' aspect you would find in EP, almost 'Dead Space'-style.
