Durability Healing In Healing Vats?
This sounds stupid, but I'm not sure if healing vats heal durability. I'm sure they would, but it seems that there is no mention of that. The "Healing and Repair" section on page 208 doesn't mention the healing rate for Healing Vats, and the Healing Vat section in the Gear chapter just mentions the wound healing rate. Considering that they can heal wounds with ease and can even rebuild a body from just a head - I assume they would heal durability damage quickly/instantly, right?

AFAIK, it's 'quickly', yes. On the Healing Vat table: "Healing normal damage to a character who has taken 3 or fewer wounds. == 2 hours per wound (min. 1 hour for 0 wounds)". So, healing DUR damage happens along with the wounds (under 4 wounds), and it takes 1 hour to heal DUR damage with 0 wounds. Right? After all, medichines heals you 1d10/hour already.

Huh. Sure enough, they don't mention durability healing rates. It wouldn't make sense for them _not_ to heal durability, though. Given that wounds are more serious than durability loss, and that light wounds are healed 6 times faster in a healing vat, a similar rate for durability seems appropriate. With medichines healing 1d10(5) per hour, 4d10+20 (40) per hour for healing vats doesn't seem out of line.

Actually, I'd go with Yerameyahu's answer -- the min. 1 hour for 0 wounds does suggest that all durability is restored in an hour.

Only if there are 0 wounds, of course. I don't believe you can hop in with 2 wounds and 20 DUR damage, and just heal the 20 DUR in 1 hour. It'd be 4 hours for everything.

Yeah, wounds represent a certain threshold of damage. Just assume that a character is fully healed by the time their wounds are all healed. If they're interrupted, just divide the amount of time for full healing by the amount of time spent in it already, then use that number to divide the damage and wounds to determine how well healed the character is. Odd numbers are rounded up or down based on your individual judgement. One exception to this, I'd say, might be reviving a dead character in stasis; half of dead isn't necessarily alive. Again, use your judgement.

They do indeed heal regular damage. They essentially "restore" you. As others have pointed out, just treat it as 0 wounds (if you have no wounds), and so it takes a minimum of 1 hour. If you have damage and wounds, the damage heals along with the wounds.

I would expect some treatments might prioritize serious injuries first & treat minor injuries and blemishes last. If so; when treatment is abrupted, the treatment might have had time to lessen serious damages , but not enough to treat the minor ones. Including "0" damage injuries.
