My gaming group loves the White Wolf Storyteller system and can use it in their sleep, so there have been complaints about the crunchiness of the EP system. I have been pondering whether one could convert the game system or create a workable hybrid (it worked for us with 2320AD).
I think the aptitudes and skills are OK in themselves, it is mainly the game system itself and char gen that might need to be updated.
A simple approach would be to say that every 5 points of an aptitude is one dot/die, and that every 20 skill points is one dot. You roll the number of dice as you have in your ego aptitude, your morph bonus and your skills.
Difficulty modifiers could be handled as extra required successes or bonus successes.
Positive and negative traits would just work like merits and flaws.
Moxie would work like the ST willpower stat.
Damage: I actually like the EP approach quite well, maybe it is not worth trying to convert it. Generally, the more fine-grained numbers of EP work well for rep, stress and damage, but not for the more often needed skill rolls.
