Converting EP to Storyteller
My gaming group loves the White Wolf Storyteller system and can use it in their sleep, so there have been complaints about the crunchiness of the EP system. I have been pondering whether one could convert the game system or create a workable hybrid (it worked for us with 2320AD). I think the aptitudes and skills are OK in themselves, it is mainly the game system itself and char gen that might need to be updated. A simple approach would be to say that every 5 points of an aptitude is one dot/die, and that every 20 skill points is one dot. You roll the number of dice as you have in your ego aptitude, your morph bonus and your skills. Difficulty modifiers could be handled as extra required successes or bonus successes. Positive and negative traits would just work like merits and flaws. Moxie would work like the ST willpower stat. Damage: I actually like the EP approach quite well, maybe it is not worth trying to convert it. Generally, the more fine-grained numbers of EP work well for rep, stress and damage, but not for the more often needed skill rolls. Any thoughts?

it's fairly simple use Hunter the Vigil's character creation rules for the resleeving part, I would pick Geist as guide for the stuff about Firewall, etc, Third Level stuff. Firewall and Ozma are both close to Project Valkyrie

Well, we no longer buy any WW stuff. We are pretty much an original WoD group, and started ignoring things roughly after Mage: the Ascension 2nd edition (with the exception of Aberrant, which we have also bent to our will). So, what is useful about the Hunter character creation, and how does Geist handle resleeving? The EP world is fine, it is just the game system that might be worth tweaking.

Re: Converting EP to Storyteller
I gave up on WoD a while ago. It's a beautiful setting in its own way but the games are intrinsically limited to it; they're bleak and sad and depressing. Try to change that and the setting stomps on your face and, should you change the rules, you've effectively ruined its magic. Exalted, however, is still awesome. My approach to converting it to the storyteller system is that a character's sum ability total in anything is divided by 10 (rounded up) and converted into dice. When it comes to opposed rolls, such as with attacks, you take that total and divided it by 2 (rounding up if sapient, down if a non-sapient AI or animal) and use that as a defensive value to beat, or otherwise have a roll-off with the highest number of successes winning. Equipment and other bonuses, as might be expected, add dice. I'm also debating on relaxing skills/attributes, so that you can have a maximum of 5 in each, with 30 translating to the baseline 5, and each +-5 that morphs have in the book to their maximum aptitude represents one less dot available (so a Remade or Infomorph has 7 as max, a baseline flat has 3). Damage will be kept as is, for simplicity's sake. Besides, I like EP's damage system. I've yet to playtest this, so I don't really know how it will go. I'd love to try it, though.
