Community Project: Forum Based Living Eclipse Phase Campaign
Exactly what it says on the tin. I couldn't help but notice EP's potential for online gameplay, especially for a living campaign. I'm sure everyone here already knows what living campaigns are and how forum RPs work, so I'll just use the rest of this post to begin discussion on how we could set one up and if anyone is interested. Thanks to the publishers' creative commons attitude, this could all be legally possible and opens up the game to wider possibilities. Throw ideas around people, my own opinion is that we should use the Strange Aeon modified setting of EP. Just my preference though. And throw some esoterica in for good measure, real world and current conspiracy theories and whatnot. Nothing beats a good game like throwing some esoteric agenda tropes in there.

Opposed to Cthulhutech, main reason being that it does not do a good job of making sure that the anime, manga & literature it is based on will mesh and interact with each other very cleanly. For instance, when will an engel pilot ever need to meet a tager? I am much more favorable to straight Eclipse Phase, with additional background bits added according to the needs of the campaign and the needs that are most-commonly voiced by the community (such as the Jovian Republic being less stupid and more in line with how a sustainable bioconservative state would actually work).

root@Forum Based Living Eclipse Phase Campaign [hr] Or you could, you know, join the one already running. The location threads are in the In Character forum, and you just write your little vignettes. Character interaction is organic, and then everything anyone posts becomes part of the play material for everyone else.

No I can't say I much care for Cthulhutech, nor anime for that matter. I'll take my EP straight every time.

Really? Cool, I'll just go and do that then.

Ayt, I've been lurking in the IC, and yet I still don't get what's going on. Is there like a FAQ somewhere?
