I'd be interested in joining with a thief/black market supplier. Someone with lots of contacts who can get people what they need, one way or the other.
It'll take me a bit to get all my ducks in a row and apply, because 1) rpol confuses the hell out of me, 2) school is kicking me around right now, and 3) I'm turning 18 in a few days anyway, so I may as well wait instead of fudging to get past rpol's age restrictions (not that I'd /ever/ do that for the chance to play Eclipse Phase... ;) ).

Oh. Darn. :(
If anybody else is planning on starting an online play by post game (or knows of one that needs replacement players), let me know... I've had this wonderful game that is Eclipse Phase for 7 months now and still haven't gotten a chance to play :(

I had an idea for a game on RPoL.
Basically, it would be a sandbox game ran by a number of GMs. Every GM would run a part of the solar system - for starters, not to overdo ourselves, one GM would run the Inner System and one GM the Outer System. Now, they would maintain specific network threads (@-lis, E-wave, etc.) and specific locations (Nectar on Luna, Locus, other locales) for players to post in and interact between themselves and the NPCs. The GMs wouldn't run specific scenarios, but more react to the actions of the players and maintain a plausible world (fill with NPCs to interact with, make the networks abuzz with stuff, describe and offer specific info about things the players ask about etc.).
This game would be very character driven, since GMs wouldn't run typical scenarios (usually) but follow what the PCs are doing and weave a story around that.
What do you think? Would there be any interest in this type of a game?
EDIT: I hijacked the thread since Fzzy's game was dead anyways, and this is a suggestion for a game on RPoL.net (so the heading fits)! :D
Awesome. I opened up a game to discuss how it would work.
You can find it here:

It won't start that soon (for another week or so, I'm going on a trip and will be without Internet access) but I'd like it if we found at least two GMs, so I wouldn't have to GM (since my schedule is pretty frakked up). So, if you know anybody who's interested, tell them to drop by!
And all you rascals reading this too. I know there's quite a number of regulars on the forum who I'd like to see GMing (or at least playing)!
Well, I'm /definitely/ interested as a player. I'd be willing to assist some GMs, but I don't think I'm up for being a full-time one myself, as unfortunately I'm already pretty busy running other games.

Everybody interested, feel free to send a request to join on RPoL. I'm going to be without Internet access next week, but that doesn't mean you can't start discussing how the game would look like!
We're getting the ball running soon with this game, it would seem.
We're still looking for players and GMs (and player-GMs for that matter). Follow the link above and check it out - if enough enthusiastic people join, this could be one of the coolest EP games out there :D
Sorry about the wait. Finals and all that getting in the way. ;)
Also, we could really use more GMs. We have a bunch of players already, but only two GMs so far. I thought that this kind of setup would be attractive to all the prospective EP GMs here!
Hello everyone
I would be interested in joining the game. English is not my mother tongue, but I think I speak it well enough. I have been interested in Eclipse Phase since a friend showed me a copy of the manual but I have not been able to find any game so far.
¿So could I join as a player? I haven't thought about a character yet but I would prefer to know if I can join before starting to flesh it out.
Hey!
Sure thing, you can join up. We're in a kind of a slow down (considering my finals are starting and we still haven't found enough GMs to run everything smoothly). But come by the game on RPoL and check it out!
And don't worry about English - it's not my first tongue either. If it's comprehensible, you're good to go. And nothing better to practice your language skill than a game with a lot of writing! ;)
I'm reading myself through all those adult stuff and probably will submit something as player only at first.
I'm still not that familiar with the rules.
The rules on RPoL are pretty strict, but with a reason. People are people, and with no rules, things can get nasty. Good that you're reading the rules, and be sure to include everything re age statements when sending an RtJ. I promise we're not that nitpicky with other things.
Also, we could use more GMs! Anybody interested in GMing what seems to be growing into a large game, please come by and check it out!
Well... what would be the target for GMs in the end? A GM for every planetsystem? Habitatcluster? General Location?
Well, first they have to change my name. Made a mistake about that and i'm not quite sure which kind of character i want to provide etc pp.
Then I will send you my character as soon as I have time. I'm also about to start my final exams, so its quite likely that it takes me some time. But once I have finished them I will be able to mantain a good posting rate.
See you soon :)
Well bakho has gone MIA from the RPOL game as did our only other GM, so I have picked up the task myself. Recently I PM those on RPOL that had responded to the game RJT.
I would really like to get back to the original idea of the game having multiple GM's so if there is anyone out there interested in playing or being a GM stop by.

Not a problem, just PM me with your changes.
As always if there is anyone who wants to GM via RPOL drop us a line. The more GMs the better, it would be cool to have multiple stories going on at once.
What are the concepts of the current characters remaining in the game now and how are they associated with one another? I'm a little hesitant to try another PbP game (I've never had good luck with them lasting), but I enjoy very character driven stories like the one you're creating and really want to actually _play_ EP, so I might be interested in coming up with something for it. Would prefer to make sure that I come up with something that actually works well with the others in the group and doesn't overlap too much with anyone, though.
We currently have three game threads up, one group thread, one two player thread, and one solo player thread. We're very player-oriented so I think you might find what you're looking for at our game. With three regular GMs, I think we can cater with ease to a couple more players (the third GM is planning to open a new thread soon, I think). The game is running for quite some time now, and survived some GM absences and hiccups, but this format promises more regarding GM disappearance than other PbP games (since if one GM goes AWOL, there are others to take over or to recruit new GMs). So yeah. Come, check it out; lurk for starters, and if you see something that you like, make a char and join up.
Of course, always on the lookout for more GMs (since more GMs means that the game has a greater chance of surviving in the long run).
I wrote here some months ago about joining the game. But with my finals coming and some other things I wasn't able to continue.
Is there still place for a new player? If there is, I was thinking about making an async. Would that be a good idea?
Thanks!
