EP Quick-Start kit Spanish translation project
Hiya all I'm translating the EP QSR kit, and if possible, I'd love to be able to do the layout as in the original, which is great. If I post here the translation (or send it, I don't know), would someone be able to do it? I've not tried yet, but I've tried to export the images of the QSR and the results were kinda dissapointing ^_^ Thanks in Advance

^_^ Neither did I :D I've already translated the setting intro and half of the rules section, so things are going smoothly. Hopefully, I'll finish the translation in 1-2 weeks tops. I'll try to do something about the layout anyways myself if there is no other choice, but seeing how pretty the official layout is... I don't think I'll be able to do it justice XD. Je, ni yo tampoco :D Lo dicho, que llevo ya como la mitad y no va mal la cosa. A ver si con un poco de suerte me puede echar una mano alguien, y si no... bueno, pues se hará lo que se pueda.

Well, quick update: I've just finished the rules section (now I'll have to correct it, but.... ^_^). Only the adventure and the character sheets left. Is there any way to put here a file?

Nope. Didn't ask for that, either ^_^. Don't know what would I do with them after all (with the screen yes, but that's small XD). I've contacted with someone to do the layout. It helps that he's GMing EP right now, of course :D

I am glad to host the files in my Eclipse Phase section of my site (see sig below)! I am planning on hosting a French translation to my character sheet in the near future. I would also like to take a crack at the layout. I don't read/speak Spanish, but I think I can handle the layout. I have InDesign CS4. If you send me your email address to trechriron10 (with the at) yahoo (add a dot) com, I will set us up a Dropbox to share files. Would you be willing to translate my version 2 character sheet into Spanish? I would love to have it in several languages. :-D

That would be cool. As I said, I have a friend of a friend currently doing a layout, but it wouldn't hurt to have options, innit?

Yeah, no problem. I've already done it with JMobius' excel sheet, so I don't think it would be much work XD.

Just in case anyone is interested, I've finished translating the "Lack" intro fiction of the core rulebook, too (I think it's a great source for new players ^_^).

Has anyone contacted Rob about getting this properly published and distributed? If not, and if you don't mind, I'll send him an e-mail and ask. Since you're not writing anything original, and this would be a HUGE help to the line, just making sure he's aware of it and that you are open to having your work repackaged could make a big difference. Thoughts? (Full disclosure, I ask because my sister is hoping to help with the translation work, but if she's goign to do that, I'd like her to get full credit for 'translating a professionally published work'.)

I talked with Adam Jury about that, so they're already aware of this. I'd like them to properly distribute this too ^_^, but in the meantime...

You spoke with Adam and he... declined to publish it at the moment? Or have you not gotten a response? Just asking so I know if I should sit on my hands and wait for news, or follow up (you know those RPG type people... always slow in getting back to you!)

Apparently there is some kind of negotiations going on in the spanish side, so I think he's waiting to see if it comes to fruition before answering. That of he still has jet lag from Gen Con or something ^_^. Anyways, I'm right now spell checking and doing a barebones layout for the QSR.

Albertorius!! Eres una maquina!! Si se tradujera la mitad de rapido algunos libros, las cosas estarían al mismo tiempo en multiples idiomas!! Felicidades! Albertorius! You're a Machine!! If some books were translated at half that speed, things would be at the same time in multiples languages! Congratulations!
