What is the Cost (Credits or Reputation) of Quality Gear?
It must be POSSIBLE for a person to purchase either via credits or reputation a "top of the line" gear or program with a bonus (+10 to +30) as per the quality rules, But what is the effect on the Cost of the item in Credits or Reputation? for Each level of the bonus (+10, +20, +30). Clearly you can get them but what is de modified ? Please Help )

I think the assumption is that you can't purchase things above or below the standard technology line. Obsolete systems are likely taken off the market quickly to ensure security and stability (which are an important issue in a world where TITAN viruses are still a lingering threat), and cutting edge tech is likely kept off the market largely because the majority is probably still in testing. If I were to place a price, however, I'd go with changing the cost category by 1 for every ±10 modifier you receive.

I think that there is still brands going around Take ground vehicles. You could get a low price model like the old Traband, Fiat and the like a medium like Nissan, Lexus, etc or the expensive ones like Aston Martin, Jaguar,Hummer, not to mention the top like the limo, Ferarri... Beside, I don't think the old models are destroyed, merely declassed and used by the plebes who can't afford newer, safer model. I have the picture in mind of Barsoomian driving through Mars' wilderness in Pickups and/or Hummers with altered engines, and transporting their goods in century old Mack trucks And the farms likely use decades epproved John Deers' I'm not dropping names like that for the fun of it, but to press the point that though they might be owned by big groups and hypercorps these days, they're probably still around. Ford has been around for over a century, now, the same with Renaut and Saab. Names like that become memes unto into themselves, certain names are synonyms of quality and durability, or lack thereof Hell, they're likely to have a rep level on their own A 2-Chevaux would probably have some @rep because of the history of the car, ditto for the VW van. You think of them, you think 'hippies', 'Anarchist', Mai 68, for the Titanian history buffs Likewise, a Jag would probably have some F-rep. Come to think of it, some brands might give a positive or negative modifyer on social rolls or maybe even in some networking. "Oh this guy wears the latest smartsuit by Calvin Klein." "oh look at her, she wears some cheap H&M dress. I bet it doesn't even get spimes or adaptative color fabric..." The cloth makes the man, they say. The brands of the same cloth might undo him, even if he's sleeved in an Olympian or Sylph morph.

A different brand of vehicle is not going to be something as simple as a bonus or penalty to all checks involving it. Rather, each vehicle will have different capacities in many fields. It will be more akin to using the rules on page 336 for brand name weapons.

I didn't mean modifier to use it. For an exemple: you're trying to convince some hyperelite bimbo to go with you, for whatever reason (maybe to get her daddy's password for his VPN that you're trying to hack in?). Do you think she'll take you more seriously if you drive a beat down Honda or a Lamborgini?
