Damage
Hi, I just found out about this game and it seems very intriguing. It's a good thing that rules are not all that complex but so far I have not found any reference to how damage is handled in EP. Would you care to shed some light on that? Some hints were seen when you were talking about morphs and that reminded me a bit of how it is handled in Earthdawn.

The damage system could be
The damage system could be compared to Earthdawn or MechWarrior (err, I mean, Classic BattleTech RPG). Weapons do a variable amount of damage, usually in the range of 2d10 + X. Really good shots (with a Margin of Success of 30+) do extra damage. Damage is soaked by armor, and then compared to the target's Wound Threshold. If it exceeds it, a wound is also taken. While a character can be incapacitated by accumulated damage, wounds are more debilitating and apply immediate modifiers/effects.

A similar system applies for stress (mental damage). Characters accumulate mental stress from traumatic situations, which can eventually lead to a breakdown. Similarly, too much stress at once and you might pick up a trauma (mental wound) that inflicts a temporary derangement or even a permanent mental disorder.

Sounds eloquent enough, I like that there will be stress as well. Didn't the Dream Pod 9 gang also do something like this with the Silhouette system... assuming you've familier with that?

Sounds good to me. I like the way how damage (and wounds) work in Earthdawn (I am not familiar with MechWarrior rules).

I have to agree. Stress
I have to agree. Stress damage is a nice touch. I happen to be a fan of Silhouette system, too although I have not played with it much (I am much more familiar with Earthdawn).

Is the extra damage for good
Is the extra damage for good hits a static bonus or a mulitplyer? I don't actualy care for the Silhouette damage system of damage mulitiplication for good to hit rolls.

I really don't know how extra
I really don't know how extra damage is handled in EP but it would seem that it is a bit different animal than how damage is handled in Silhouette. In Silhouette the damage is _always_ multiplied based on margin of success as you know :)

How is damage rolled?
Hi, I'm new to this forum. Just found out about the game, and I'm really excited about it. I've been looking for a setting like this, and after having been through Transhuman Space, Corporation and Blue Planet, this really looks like it has what I'm looking for. :) Anyway, I've heard someone mention somewhere that the rules for EP can be compared to Unknown Armies in some ways. In Unknown Armies, the damage of an attack is based off the percentile die result of the attack roll. Is damage rolled together with the attack roll in EP, or is it a separate die roll after the attack roll has been made? Cheers, Eirik
