Omni Awareness?
Hello there! So I picked up EP from my local brick and mortar retailer and I am quite excited about it, but I do have a question about this psi-gamma power: Omni Awareness. Now, I understand that Psi has been kept different and weaker than in other similar game, but with a range of 5 meters I am not actually sure what is the point of this power. I understand the description of it but I have the impression the intent here was to have a longer range. I mean.. how I am supposed to notice tail with a 5 meters range? Someone tailing me will definitely not stay in such a small range. And if I am stopping after a corner, then I probably already noticed someone following me or I would not do so. And in a "pub" situation, yes I can see how using the power would alert you of people focusing on you.... if they are in 5 meters from you. Now, maybe in some tiny habitat orbiting in the outer systems you have such tiny bars, but in bigger places, the bar is prolly bigger than 5 meters across and so people watching you will sit very well some distance away, making the power moot. I do not have a problem with most of the other powers, but this one if any, seem to need a range boost to, say, 50 meters. Comments?

sounds pretty bad. you can get it up to 15 meters if you take a -100 to your roll. are there any biological drones or nanoswarms that are used for survalance? maybe its designed for something like that. or maybe its just an oversight.

5 meters is almost 16½ feet, which would pretty much allow you to detect anyone watching you within a modest-sized room if you're in the center of it. It would also deter someone from trying to take you out using stealth methods. While it wouldn't be good for spotting a tail in the middle of the wilderness where you want to be as far from your target as possible without losing sight of them, it would be good for spotting a tail if you were walking through the crowded streets of some metropolitan habitat and someone who is following you has to be far closer to keep up.
