A way to keep track of equipment
I've come up with a solution that my group really likes, at least when it comes to the rapid switching out of equipment. I've made Magic card-sized descriptions of gear that I printed out and cut up. Players take the cards for the equipment that they currently have and put them into Magic card protective sleeves (about the size of a sheet of paper that holds nine Magic cards). They have their equipment right there, organized and easy to see; they can also keep track of the amount of ammo left, doses of drugs, etc by writing on the plastic sheet with erasable markers. It's been working really well and you can put all the relevant information for any piece of gear on one Magic-card sized piece of paper. If people are interested in this I can make the files available.

That beats my 2×3 note cards!
That beats my 2×3 note cards! I may have to improvise something similar.

Here you go
Here is a link to the directory of the files: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8dzopjxy3ti8x0y/AABhwurzcEsMM_hHS07_DCCPa?dl=0. This links to the .odt and .pdf files. Tell me if there are any issues with downloading it. There are probably lots of errors, so please tell me when you find them! Brutalitea has a highlighted "3" and "8" because the table and text contradict each other and I wanted to keep track of that. There are icons to indicate the general category that gear is in (and drugs get two if they're not biochemical). Not every drug has been converted to digital versions because we haven't used them all yet and I got tired... When I cut them up I noticed that these cards were often juuuuust large enough to bend when inserted into Magic card sheets. I'd recommend printing them out at 95%, which helped me. Enjoy! Edit: changed link to directory

It seems to me that you just copy/pasted from the book? Personally, I would go for pure rules, no fluff... Also it's likely that the players will use a fluo marker (regardless of the amount of text, and the rules vs explanations/fluff ratio), but even so...

I certainly copy/pasted from the book; I didn't see any reason to rewrite everything. My players write on the plastic of the Magic sleeves that we put the equipment cards into; that way the cards can be reused.

This is pretty neat. I'll see how it goes for our next game. Page 13 has the Piston Spear but not the Piston Spike, which the book has as the base version. There's a blank space on page 15 it could be shoved in.

I was not making a critic, just looking for confirmation, because while the idea is good and sound, to use it I'd go and rewrite as easy to read, rules-only, way I possibly can. That being said, most of my players go with a pad where they write the gear they use (and most have a "favorite kit"), some of it is basic handwavium (for example, one has a subscription to a series of databases that give him a +10 when attempting to track egos with a digital footprint -that being non-autistic, regardless of their state as Infomorph-). Gear that rotates a lot but tends to be present frequently is good to have as cards, of course, but for semi-permanent or one-off gear, I prefer manually writing :)

Oh, I didn't take your comment personally; apologies if I sounded that way. I made the cards for what works best in my group (we're all just starting EP and so the fluff helps us) and decided to share the idea with the wider community. I've also made my own character sheet that has an area for equipment that's used for more permanent stuff. My players are distractable enough that I try to keep them away from screens while playing...

I decided not to include ware in these sheets, just gear, as ware won't be swapped out as quickly. The morph cards that I made for my group have spaces to write down additional ware. When I get back home (traveling right now) I'll release the Libre Office files so that everyone can modify them as they wish. Nowadays a "no screens during gameplay" rule is needed for inmersion. Requesting players to also turn off their data stream (not the phone, nor calls: emergencies can always happen) is a good idea if they can't leave the screens at another table, out of reach. Funny how I found strange the "sanity check and possible loss" rules for just being offline in EP, and nowadays people suffers it with their phones :(
