general purpose fabricator, blueprint library, feedstock, power supply. maybe a qbit reservoir to talk to your handlers, maybe some AM in a form that wont catastrophically degrade (does such a form exist in EP?)

well, the idea would be something that leaks slowly. Current AM storage systems store a handful of atoms and degrade over seconds (i think were up to seconds, now). The idea would be similar, not just failure and BOOM, but slow trickle down. We don't actually make enough now to go "boom", but you get the idea. or better yet, something metastable that is actually molecularity bonded inside some larger molecule... Schlock Mercenary posits a storage system inside carbon fullerines, for example. I think EP always talks about magnetic containment, so maybe they're not there yet. But I suspect they must have failsafes and controlled bleed-off mechanisms.

That's why I have fullerened antimatter as being TITAN-level tech in EP. That's what I decided the weapon was in Mind the WMD - a Titan tactical antimatter bomb; anti-uranium elements suspended in carbon-60 buckyballs. Just a gram of antimatter in a C[sub]60[/sub] lattice that weighed [b]way more[/b] than a few grams, with a big old ferromagnetic core and shell to allow for mass driver launch. It was, all in all, approximately the size of a 40mm grenade, and with a passive detonation system not unlike one, meaning that it would have been a relatively trivial Hardware: Armorer feat to design and fabricate a delivery mechanism comparable to the one the original warbot had. It was not a city-buster, but it would definitely have destroyed any smaller hab, or taken a huge chunk [i]out[/i] of a city. Like good little Sentinels, though, my players turned it over to Firewall instead of, say, using it to take down the Mt. Olympus Space Elevator or something.

Well yea, guns are dangerous.

Plasma rifles, plasmaburst grenades and seeker rifles with Accushot EMP rounds; heavy combat armor with Faraday mods, Fireproofing and built-in Guardian swarm hives; digital libraries storing both useful blueprints and copies of military-grade software, especially firewalls; antimatter grenades. That's what immediately jumps to mind, anyway.

how about some mimetic hazards? strains of the exurgant virus that can incapacitate a seed AI, or basilisk hacks in a box? the metaphorical gorgon's head, sealed and ready to use. Just like Delta Green or The Laundry: some of the tools of the enemy, ready to use against it. Just pull the ripcord on this pouch, and a dormant TITAN nanoswarm gets fed some bootstrapping power and it begins turning the entire hab and/or planetoid into grey goo. A warship can come by later and nuke the gooball, so its not really an existential threat -- just a last-ditch cleanup option.

but if you cant pack enough bombs to kill the hab, you kill it with something more portable. Just make sure you kill it before it broadcasts out and spreads a more insidious infection. Better to turn an AI into a gibbering mad monstrosity that kills random things for inscrutable reasons, then to let it become an all knowing all calculating god that wants to unfold reality into new dimensions. Better to turn Mars into a rippling bubble of nanite goo, than to have every electronic component in the solar system (including everyone's mesh inserts) join some mad evolving hive-mind. This is a setting of trans-human horror. There are PLENTY of reasons to destroy a planet.
