there is nothing really
there is nothing really special in EP in this regard except the game encourages specialization. otherwise it would be the same for a dnd and pathfinder campaign

What ORCA said. Except in DnD
What ORCA said. Except in DnD having one character means you have to limit the scope of an adventure due to the constraints on the power of characters, which are balanced for team-play. When playing solo, 1on1 you don't have to worry about party balance. In EP that means you don't have to pull any punches. You can throw the same challenge at a party of PCs and a lone PC. Just give them an equivalent resources to the party. Give them helpful NPC like haker infomorph in a ghost rider. Or maybe a loyal bodyguard.
Allow abuses of forking.
Allow all the power gaming.
Allow homebrew resources. (Of course after vetting)
And maybe instead of the backstory, follow an entire character arc from the Fall till posthuman ascendancy or final death on OZMA agents hands.

Yeah pretty much, esp if you allow forking to cover areas of expertise that a group would.

It works quite well.
It works quite well. Characters tend to be pretty broadly skilled compared to many characters in class based games, especially if you focus on that.
It makes investing in Rep a lot more important, both in character creation, and to characterize the contacts the solo player has. They'll be relying on them a lot as they lack a party to go deep in certain fields.

Usually party has an
Usually party has an effective rep of 1000-1500 points. Give your player traits like Patron, Partner or Allies (disregard some of the rules for character creation like 50 CP limit on positive traits or 35 CP limit on rep) or maybe make the player a member of powerful organisation.
That is if you want to throw big challenges at your player. If you are content with smaller scope game like a private investigation agency, one man hacker team, one person infiltration of a hostile organisation then you can have a normal player character without these modifications.
Also, roleplay the muse. In group games muses are underutilized due to table time constraints and there is usually more drama between the players themselves. In a single player game you can really play up the aspect of a muse as a friend with a distinct personality, that is always there for you. Except when it has been hacked and it suddenly wants to fry your brain using all the psychological knowledge it had about you.

having the player be the ceo
having the player be the ceo of a hypercorp would be really fitting. Hypercorps are all about subcontracting and signing on temporary help

Alternatively just allow them
Alternatively just allow them to start with better than normal. say 1200 or 1500 CP to start
Increase caps on different spend options as well.
A char built on those would be fine handling a groups level of issues, just expect to see some wierdness.

I don't think your really
I don't think your really need to boost the solo character very much. They don't need to match a whole party, because you should really be playing a game appropriate to having a single player. It'll be a smaller scale.
That said, 1200 in order to ensure coverage of some extra gear would probably be a good idea.
