To what extent would Firewall sentinels work with local law enforcement?
If you're in my group, don't read this. You know who you are.
Spoiler: Highlight to view
The party has discovered that a local socialite was infected by a YGBM hack (implanted in her experimental new fashion morph by a disgruntled genehacker) and planted a bomb on an outbound spaceship leaving from Valles Skyport. Obviously, the party of Firewall sentinels must try to prevent the bomb's detonation, but how? Couldn't they just call up the Valles Skyport security and tip them off about a big antimatter bomb stashed in the cargo hull? I understand there's an element of secrecy and legal subversion with Firewall (they're a conspiracy and all), but would that really keep the party from holding the lives of hundreds of innocents at risk?

If it's just a bomb and the
If it's just a bomb and the security won't be able to trace the tip-off back to Firewall, then there is no problem in just tipping them off.

Yes, 100%. Even if it was thousands of lives. First, death is temporary, although the Infrastructure and Memetic damage could be considerable. Secondly, and more importantly, betraying the existence of Firewall (or at least a cell) could result in the loss of ALL innocent lives if they're no longer there or capable of acting to prevent a greater threat in the future. That said, they could get the local authorities involved. An anonymous tip is possible, but imo the best play is to actually take responsibility for it - claim to be a bioconservative, anti-uplift and/or anti-tech radical group, and that they're going to blow up the ship to... I dunno... expose the folly of their decadent ways. Does the group have any convenient enemies to frame?
In the past we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few. But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again?

With appropriate precautions
With appropriate precautions taken to prevent their tip from being traced back to Firewall (Posing as Oversight on the tip line would probably be the best option, but hard to pull off) getting the police to seize the ship and prevent a detonation would be a great idea.

remember to think like a
remember to think like a conspiracy and remember your ultimate goal, Eliminate X-Threats. There are good examples above but another but difficult possibility exists for the sentinel team to acquire the anti matter bomb and add it to firewall's arsenal. see if any of the people on the craft have access jacks that can be utilized to use them as meat puppet on board expenditure of lives is negligible to the amount that could be saved who is on the passenger manifest? it may be advantageous to firewall to just delay the bomb's detonation to minimize casualties in order to strike down an enemy and remember Das Frechen is only a mesh call away :P

Try to stop bomb by either
Try to stop bomb by either meat-puppet, or just anon tip, and if that fails, immediately try to find a way to salvage some good by memetic warfare against opponents.

It's a complicated question
The details of the particular Firewall operation would impact how much local authorities can trusted. After all, if local law is infected by the exsurgent virus, a sentinel definitely can't ask any of them for help. But if TITAN war machines are busting out of a quarantine zone, calling the locals for help might just be the easiest way to handle the problem. In this particular case, alerting the authorities could expose Firewall to further investigation as a group of suspects. So handling it discreetly is almost certainly in the sentinels' best interests.

Hmm, my sentinel team
Hmm, my sentinel team contributed to declaring firewall a terrorist organization on Mars and martial law(I know, right?) was declared until it is extingushed.

In a case like that "my"
In a case like that "my" firewall would do everything in it's power to lay the blame at the players' feet exclusively and let them take the heat for it. If the term "firewall" became public knowledge in conjunction with allegations of terrorism, then they fucked up royally and may have damaged firewall's agenda beyond repair... BTT: Working directly with law enforcement is a VERY thorny issue. It could work, if there are trustworthy contacts inside the force or the right amount of care and secrecy is used. But it might as well backfire horrendously.
