I am DM'ing a game tommorow and I need help
I picked up Eclipse Phase about a year ago. In this time I have not played it at all, only read it. 4 days ago I brought it to school and had interest from some of my friends. They want me to DM the game and want to play it. I would love to dm as well BUT i dont know where to start. I have had them start making characters and setup. However i have no idea how i should start/run the first campaign. I am looking for suggestions on how to start/ access to a starting prefab.

First step: Don't Panic!
First step: Don't Panic! Anyways. Did your group make their characters together? Did you inform them of what kind of adventure they will be on? Both of those will help to make an effective group. Have you picked or made an adventure yet? Anything you are leaning towards?

Another tip. Don't wait so
Another tip. Don't wait so long to ask for help. Needing to be ready in less than a day doesn't leave yourself or us forumites to come up with stuff. Anyways. I came up with an idea in the last 5 minutes. Reject this idea if it sounds bad. Maybe have a Villain create some devious plot where the players have to go into simulspace to solve problems or win. The villain is either plain bored or crazy (maybe both) when he made this plan. Feel free to make it play like an action movie. As I was saying, so maybe the players have go on some fantasy adventure or play some other game (or several games). Simulspace is a good chance to practice the rules. Maybe the adventure will provide hints at locating a bomb that could destroy the hab. Actually crazy might work. Some people are convinced that TITANs are going to come back and wipe transhumanity out. So in the end it doesn't matter if the villain kills some people, as he might have reasoned that its going to happen anyways. Or maybe the villain got infected by some TITAN virus and had gone a little inhuman mad. Maybe some riddles are thrown in that wouldn't make much sense to a normal human.

Further How much prep time do
Further How much prep time do you have left? Honestly the premades are a great place to start. The two scenarios i have started off groups cold with are A Bump in the Night and The Devotees. The devotees is certainly a more advanced module to run and one of the devs have called me a sadistic bastard for doing this as an exposure scenario. the players had fun though. A Bump in the Night was fairly straight forward and easy to run. now if you have a campaign longer than a one shot in mind decide early on what secrets i nthe book you want to keep and which ones you want to forgo.

You can go with the fall
You can go with the fall scenario. Just dump your players into the chaos and figure it out as you go. The Fall was a disaster and nothing has to make sense so you can easily cover your mistakes. The goal of the game is clear from the get go: SURVIVAL and if your playerss don't succeed you and your friends can make new ones armed with the knowledge of system mechanics and your style. Also it establishes how deadly is the EP. If you want to you can use some prepared plot hooks, set pieces: Some of the players are VIPs and they have to get to evac point. Players start in simulspace and they have to break out. The simulspace is a TITAN mesh hack that makes people s real bodies stay still, when headhunters come. RPPR™ Some desperate government official rallies available military and citizens to defend magic bullet weapon against titans. Somebody knows of an unregistered smuggler lander.n sure Etc

So i ended up just doing
So i ended up just doing character creation that day. We have organized a weekly meetup every Friday. Right now my campaign is going to go with my group of agents not near each other and they get called in because someone [a hypercorp] called in a favor. They have a rouge scientist that was working on a new type of interior [habitat] weapon. (its the smart guns from Seven Eve's). They will be sent using a slow boat to venus (octavia station) where they find the scientists lab. He will be missing (presumably dumped out of a airlock) and his lab raided. As this all happens im going to have a rebel group (dont know how large) take over a in progress habitat on the other side of Venus. They will be armed with smart armor and the smart guns. (firing around corners, no danger to surroundings etc.)

send them on a mundane task
send them on a mundane task but make things go wrong early in and quickly. Then watch them react to solve it and rinse and repeat.
