Morph robot distinction
If I cram a Cyberbrain into a Guardian Angel bot, do I need to use the morph creation rules or can I just run it like a fancy customized bot still (cramming robot mods into the standard off the rack bot)?
Exhuman, and Humanitarian.

I don't see why you couldn't
I don't see why you couldn't just install a cyberbrain into a GA bot. You'd still need to contend with the low aptitude caps (20), but otherwise it'd work like a normal (if uncomfortable) morph. I might add another -10 (is a bot, not a morph) penalty to integrate into it. Personally I also think the GA bot is really undercosted for what you get.

For getting sleeved into a bot yeah, if you just want to run it as an infomorph using the bot as a home device that's also an option.

You don't need to use fancy
You don't need to use fancy rules for adding cyberbrains to robots. Just add a cyberbrain. Same way as you would for any other augment. However, such bot morphs will have an aptitude cap of 20. Most robots have that limit. The reason for that is limited AIs have an aptitude limit of 20, so there is rarely a good reason for it to be higher. The AI wouldn't get any benefit from anything better. If you wanted something with better aptitudes, then you should use the morph creation rules. It'll give you a fair price.

Also, IIRC if a bot or animal
Also, IIRC if a bot or animal is Very Small, you cannot install a cyberbrain in it.

Nothing stops you from duct
Nothing stops you from duct-taping an ecto to the bot and just having a infomorph pilot in the ecto jam it though.

I agreed with your statement... Until I read The Colony p. 88 of Sunward. A microsized city with egos sleeved in insect sized morphs. Apparently there is "no limit" to where you can sleeve into. O_o

Still terrible quality on those aptitudes though.

I'm going to assume that the Colony, much like Swarmanoids involves some kind of distributed or external computing to function because Transhuman (which was published later) says very definitively that Very Small bots/creatures can't fit Cyberbrains. One of the examples it uses is even bees/wasps.

That is odd. I was under the impression that there was a size limit too. Maybe it was forgotten about? Sunward was the third book the devs made. Or maybe the morphs are jammed and not actually sleeved?

It's a small enough distance
It's a small enough distance they might just have wireless I/O from external cyberbrains operating the morphs.

Small enough distance without a lot of interference.
