Meathab Favors
Ok, guys, my players are about to arrive at Meathab, where they'll spend a little over a month prepping for the arrival of an exhuman clade that's gonna show up to try and take the hab over for themselves. In the meantime, they're going to have to "pay" for the tricked-out morphs being cooked up for them by the locals, so I figure the next session or two can be comprised of them doing a series of favors for said locals. But other than the one obvious one (help repair relations between the residents and the Acolytes of the Living Meat), I'm at something of a loss for other things for them to do. I'd like to come up with at least a half-dozen or so tasks. Does anyone have any ideas?

Here's what I've come up with
Here's what I've come up with so far. - Meathab's systems have been erratic in some places, and several community members who study Meathab believe its brain is in need of a “firmware update”, essentially a self-propagating biological “patch” that will fix this. The party will need to travel deep into Meathab's inner layers to apply the patch, potentially upsetting Meathab and triggering its autonomic defenses. - A local biochemist collective has developed a powerful new nootropic that has attracted the attention of the Unfettered Geniuses on the nearby habitat of Bright. They desired to trade several hyperbright morphs for a large shipment of the drug, but the last time the exchange was attempted, pirates attacked and stole both sides' goods. Both sides suspect a mole, so the biochemists want the player group to figure out what happened and facilitate the next hand-off. If the players investigate, they will eventually discover that the Unfettered Geniuses hired triad thugs to be the “pirates” in exchange for a cut of the nootropics. If confronted about this, the Geniuses will try to convince the players to look the other way in exchange for a substantial reward. If the players agree to this, they will further try to get them to harvest tissue samples from several parts of Meathab in exchange for further rewards. On the other hand, if the players go to the biochemists with this information, they will ask the players to pretend to go along with the Geniuses' plan in order to steal proprietary Acumenic data on bleeding-edge morph design from their labs on Bright. - The recent split between Meathab's main settlement, Calyx Major, and the Acolytes' living area, Calyx Minor, is still relatively bitter, especially on the Acolytes' side. A string of passive-aggressive incidents on both sides has prevented any real dialogue from occurring, and several of Calyx Major's “elders” worry that it may erupt into a real conflict. As a neutral third party, the elders would like the player group to help heal the division, or at least find a way to defuse the worsening status quo. - Due to the recent run-ins with the exhumans, the security collective would like to significantly enhance the habitat's defenses against external assault. They have identified a derelict freighter drifting through nearby circumsaturnine space, and they would like to tow it back to Meathab, convert it into a defense platform, and anchor it to the habitat. Since the locals lack expertise in the relevant disciplines necessary to accomplish this, they will ask the players to accomplish this for them. When the players arrive, they will find pirates have already beaten them there and will be forced to either negotiate with them or fight them off.

MeatHab Flavors
I read this as "MeatHab flavors", got hungry, and felt the need to comment. To make commenting somewhat productive, the ego that inhabits Meathab screws around with the Acolytes of the Living Meat, all of whom are sleeved in non-organics. If the characters were led to believe they were aiding MeatHab, in, say, moving one of the acolytes to a biological form that was shown favor by the hab, could make the rest of the acolytes feel they were not following the correct leader. Alternatively, depending on how sadistic the source is, one of the acolytes is sleeved into a snack bar before the exhumans arrive.
