The Expanse series, first book https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leviathan_Wakes Feels like what Sol might have been like before The Fall?

I haven't looked at the listed reference in so long and just recently started reading the books. This is a full year after my brother had said they were good and watching the first four episodes of the live action show. I have cheated myself! The very first few pages of the first book Leviathan Wakes, due to my Eclipse Phase reading, made me so damn giddy. The book may not go where I think it might. I loves some space+anything especially space with looming inoperable consequence(s).

Its a pretty good book if a bit long. Characters are better handled in the book imo. Don't want to say to much and spoil it for you
