Hello,
I discovered this game some weeks ago and now I want to play it. Unfortunately, I know nobody who plays EP so I decided to host a game myself. I recruited a group of players, but none of them has ever played an RPG.
At the moment I am writing a campaign and I would like to hear your opinion:
The campaign is called "The Love and Pain of Seth Korwac"
Seth Korwac is an old and a pretty smart man. He was already fairly old when the Fall occurred and up to that point has lived a boring but comfortable life. Just before the Fall he felt the urge to do something about his life. He wanted to make it exciting. For some reason Seth concluded that the only possible way to get this done is creating an Alpha Fork by illegal means and go on two adventures at the same time.
As the two Egos lived on, one of them had a happy life. He has traveled and has seen wonders beyond imagination. The other one though, has had a horrible life. His girlfriend died, he lost the fortune he made and has seen the horrors of war and could not live a normal life anymore. He ended up with the triads.
Those two are now in a permanent fight. Of course the Ego which had a beautiful life, does not want to merge again. It does not want to see all the memories the other one has. His fork though mentioned that maybe merging would dilute his pain.
In conclusion, the "good" fork became a hateful and merciless person trying to kill his "brother". The other one, the one who had a horrible life, has to hide away and remains a broken character who never wanted anything else but to be happy.
In this game the players are Firewall agent which are exploited by bad Seth to stop his brother.

The Rogue Fork storyline is a
The Rogue Fork storyline is a tride and true standard. I suppose my main thought is if its enough to base a whole campaign about. Like, why would firewall care in the first place.

Make them Sentinels in what
Make them Sentinels in what they think is Firewall, and make one of the Seths their "Proxy." The first mission he gives them is to kill the other Seth, who he tells them is a bioterrorist or something.

I see. Follow up question: Is it common for Proxys to meet Agents face-to-face? That would make it easier for someone to pretend to be one. Or am I mistaken? (by face-2-face I mean morph-to-morph)

Meeting in hardwired
Meeting in hardwired simulspaces is probably more secure. There is also a strong possibility that not much "communication" takes place - sentinels just get a message with briefing/debriefing disguised as a blog entry, advertisement or other innocent-looking piece of media that uses certain words, phrases or names.

It's probably not super common to have face to face meetings. Morphs are pretty easy to track, so physical meetings are a decent way to crack open conspiracies. I'd expect dead drops to be very common, especially dead drops in massively multiplayer virtual spaces rather than the meatscape. Morph to jammed shell meetings are another option, especially for hacked or time shared morphs, or even random utility bots. Virtual meetings are probably quite common as well.

I think Million Year Echo
I think Million Year Echo begins with a face to face meeting. Not exactly a smart idea considering Carter is a known Barsoomian terrorist, if memory serves.

I just wondered what would be easier if someone wants to "pretend" to be someone else.
Sending a cryptic message out to lure an inexperienced sentinel to a phyiscal meeting point, to me, seems easier than staging a convincing meeting in a virtual space.

My initial plan was this:
My initial plan was this: they get lured to the space station Qing Long. When they are there, they get a cryptic message to be at special point at a given time. I figured a 19th century style chinese tea house would be a nice contrast. The waiter (seemingly a panda uplift) would give them information and a target.
I am pretty new to this and I am making up a lot of things. But I figured I can use my fantasy alot without violating the EP-universe too much.

Since I learned about the
Since I learned about the triads and read about Qing Long, this became inevitable. I know the chinese and south east asian cultur pretty well. Most of my players don't. To me that sounds like a great foundation for a game.
