I like them, are you the creator of them? If so, what application did you create the images in? But, yes. I think you submitted them into the wrong forum section. I guess that your post would have been better placed in the "EP fiction" or "adventures & campaigns" in "Homebrew and Fan Created Material" section. http://www.eclipsephase.com/forums/homebrew-and-fan-created-material/adv... Some of these sections are confusingly similar, though.

Very nice pictures. I especially like USS Constellation and Purgatory - spaceships outside atmospheres are likely to be sprawling, 3D structures rather than sleek airframes. Maybe there should be a dedicated picture forum?

IIRC, Scum Barges originate from the refugee ships that carried thousands of people off the Earth. They've probably got a lot of the old aerodynamics unless they've got a few rocket scientists and engineers on board who decide to do the same thing to their ship they do to themselves.

No, scum barges were designed to house refugees until more permanent shelter could be provided. Chances are that other ships were designed to actually get to the scum barges from Earth, rather than these being built to leave Earth. I especially say this since scum barges originally had plasma rockets... they can't be used to escape Earth gravity.

IMEPU (in my Eclipse Phase Universe) Scum Barge is a catch all term for any thing that is used as a habitat now, that wasn't designed to be on, from a cluster of cargo containers that has had lifes support retrofitted to it to a giant deep space container ship. I see them very much like the "rag tag fleet" from the old Battlestar Galactica (and the new as well, i guess), with all sorts of ships pressed into service. G.

Not all scum barges are necessarily used as habitats, though. Some may be used for massive transport ships, which might be utilized for making profits off of those who can't afford egocasting, or can even be a slave ship for transporting living goods for sale. I could even see a hypercorp or the Jovian Republic retrofitting one to use as a prison ship, containing thousands of prisoners safely, in a way that they would put up little resistance; any uncontrollable attempt to conquer the barge would be solved by guards immediately evacuating, followed by an immediate incoming antimatter warhead. Scum barge is essentially the catchall name for any number of ship models that were specifically designed to house a massive quantity of living cargo during the Fall. Always remember that ships, much like most other items in the game, may come in many brands and models. But you can always do as you please in your own campaign. :D

Thanks for sharing the images, I may use some of these as background for a game I'm currently working on, if you don't mind that. I'm actually planning on putting up an Eclipse Phase web page. I would enjoy images of salvage "style". "jury rigged" & patched ships modded with different parts. spacecraft & habitats switching or adding when finding better parts. look at a city or certain buildings, architecture are seldom cohesive. And Lights in darkness, lots of them ^^ I myself, lazy & lacking CG-programs, photo-manipulate images. existing "hardware" or google earth screenshots. altering them to look futuristic & realistic. For example oilrigs night pictures Photoshopped into spacecrafts. Or images from disney worlds "Finish Line Automotive". But I don t own copyright of the original images, so paranoid as I am I dislike sharing my "illegal" Photoshopping on the net. But I am pleased with this method to create handouts. That said, Nasa have a nice night time picture of a oilrigg, with some fantasy I think it looks like a space habitat. A Humble Request

Hello, I'm Argel and I live in México city, recently started to play this game to my players and they loved it. I used Glory adventure (included with the GM screen) and the images of the Song Cai Flower were very helpful. Now I will narrate Continuity adventure, do you know it? It is another official introductory adventure. Please can you make pics from the Kepler research station and the Istari, it is a long-range comet miner ship. It would be a great resource!
